which is the better game? ocarina of time or majoras mask

I really like the legend of Zelda games :;toast::. But I want to know what you guys prefer or what you think is the better game. Ocarina of Time or Majoras Mask?

I prefer Majoras Mask for the sake of how it expanded the boundaries of creativity in dungeon design. I think the OoT dungeons were more complex but less fun that the ones found in Majoras.
And it has traumatized me with that bloody opening so that's always an plus for scarring me for life.

Majoras mask was too weird for me, i have never even played ocarina of time through to the end >_>.

There are things I like and dislike about both. I went with Majora's Mask because it wasn't one of those "save Zelda" storylines. Plus Link version of other zelda-verse creatures is just fun.
But I definitely didn't like the "timer" aspect of it. Timers stress me out.
I'll also agree that the dungeons were more fun because of the mask mechanic. Although, I'm super lazy at collecting the masks. :P

There is a charm to OOT though. I do like the music much more, the story and world is familiar, and I liked more of the side characters. :)

Windwaker doesn't count. You can't play it on N64. XD

But i must agree that playing as Zora Link is by far the most fun i've had in The Legend Of Zelda, although i think Ocarina Of Time is the better game overall. And yes, Majoras Mask would've been far more fun for me without the never-ending timer counting down to destruction...

In the aspect of what the better game was OoT, I mean majoras mask borrowed heavily from OoT and why it has such an impact on those that play both, literally everything is enhanced by the fact you have played OoT first, and in this regard I think Majora's Mask is perhaps the best sequel of anything, but not better than Ocarina of Time. I prefer Ocarina of Time, but I'm not sure if I can justify the reasoning on this post but for the most part, its what you expect from an epic. Majora's mask I still like every much and is most certainly 2nd or 3rd of my favorite Zelda's but my major hang up with it is that it was short.

I think not.

I liked Majora Mask but that time system was pissing me off, and how you save is also freakin' dull. the rest of the game is great just as Ocarina of Time. but the first N64 title was just more classical, exactly like it must have been. this is why I prefer it to Majora's Mask. there's not freakin' weird time related game mechanic nor any kind of weird shit save system...

however, if Majora Mask is rereleased on 3DS, I'll buy it, it's still a great game.

Nintendo would be pretty stupid to not release Majoras Mask on the 3DS at some point down the line..

I think both of them are awesome for their own ways.

OoT for it's storyline, and MM for all the different ways you can play the game out. It was a really interesting twist on how an adventure can go. However, it did feel a lot like a Time-Limit sort of thing during the game. And I like adult Link's combat style more than the kids.

I voted for Majora's Mark simply because, although Ocarina of Time was revolutionary, Majora's Mark took revolutionary, added a time twist to it, and made it exceptional AND revolutionary. MM gets my vote!
