View Full Version : No default avatars

I just registered to Blistered Thumbs and it took me forever to do so because not only was I required to have an avatar, I couldn't select a default one. I was so caught off guard by this that I almost didn't create an account. I ultimately managed to figure out how to create images for my own avatar, but I shouldn't have needed to do that. This is such a blatant problem, I'm surprised that this slipped through the cracks. ::banghead::

EDIT: Oh, and my uploaded avatar doesn't even show up. WHY COULDN'T I JUST CHOOSE NOT TO HAVE AN AVATAR?!? THE WEBSITE CAN OBVIOUSLY MANAGE POSTS FROM PEOPLE WITH NO AVATAR SO WHY FORCE US TO HAVE ONE?!?!?

It looks as though you have to upload your avatar separately for the forum. Still, avatars should not be mandatory, so we will need to get that fixed.
