Post any opinions about what you think of the game or have a disscussion about it.

I managed to circumvent my countries laws and got my hands on it, but I have two major issues.

The first is the online will not work. At all. I guess I couldn't expect much, but seriously, most other games have the decency to work from any system in the world for any system in the world.

The second is the DLC. I was fine ignoring Rain, Skarlett and Kenshi. I'm not too big on puns, and Kenshi sounded kinda boring. However, with the Freddy Kreuger thing, I am in a pickle. I need some way to get my hands on a British PsN card so I can buy the content off the Euro PsN Store.

Apart from that, I'm really liking this game. I learned that about myself recently - as long as I can get a firm hand on the controls, and don't get caught up in just tapping the same combos out, I really do like fighting games.

I also think people really are oversimplifying this games appeal as just gore. It has a depth I find really engrossing, but not too much that I can't figutre out what the fuck I'm doing.

The training stages are some of the best I've ever seen in a fighter. Seriously, I managed to get the timing down flat with that.

I assume we're discussing the latest Mortal Kombat...

Seconded!

My last experience trying to use the King of The Hill online matchmaker was balls, though. I could've beat the ever-living crap out of AngryJoe if blocking didn't take two, long seconds to comply. ;)

Otherwise, I dig the storyline mode; I blasted through that sum bitch really quick. The TagTeam handicap matches they'd randomly punch you in the face with were annoying, but ultimately transformed me into a more polished fighter. I appreciate the MK Universe and its accessibility for all skill levels, even the typical complainers who don't play fighting games because they "suck at them."

I'm looking to get past challenge 200 on the Challenge Tower one of these days...

As for not being able to play the game online, try making a PSN account for another country where the game is avaliable. To enter the online pass you have to put the code in on the same PSN as the region of the game.

1) Make yourself a new email address somewhere.
2) Look up a burger king within your games country on google maps.
3) Use these new details to make your alternate account.
4) Once your account is setup, enter the code through PSN. You should now be able to play online.
5) Once the code has actually registered your PS3, you can use any account to play online.

If you have the game on 360 registering as a little more complicated. I admit I am not an expert on that.

Back onto MK9: The game is amazing. My only hope is that after this first wave of DLC, Neatherealm studios get working on MK10. If they can improve upon what they did with 9, I think I might explode with gaming happiness.

I played it with the PS3 of my Friend. Its a great game. Its even forbidden to publish it here in Germany (like the first MK games). But only a forbidden Mk is a real MK ;) . I'm only disappointed that there is no PC Version of the Game.

I hear ya, I played it on a friend's PS3 as well, I wish they'd port this game to PC so far i'm loving the game.

Ok, now any thoughts on the last and deftly most WTF announcement of the game, Freddy Krueger as a DLC characters?

woot? Freddy Krüger? I would like to see a real Psycho like Broly (he probably would blow up the entire Planet with a single energy Blast as a Fatality).
or Kenshiro from fist of the north Star (100 Crack fist ftw)
or Zaraki Kenpachi (Bleach) going Bankai for the first time

I like it a lot! Got some real control over Ermac, which is definitely my favorite fighter. I don't play online so much though, mostly since the lag is terrible at times :( and I'm not thát good yet ;p

The online portion of this game was horrible when it released.
However I have recently revisited it and it works relatively smooth now.
I know it's kind of based on your region as the game does attempt to connect to lower ping players when doing ranked matches, so maybe more people in my area bought the game now? lol
And I don't have to wait 5 mins to get a ranked match going anymore. Usually doesn't take more than 20-30 seconds.

The downside though... MON DIEU! All the people playing online can pull off +35% damage combos and can some block your shit before you're even aware of what attack you're going to do. I just don't have the time to dedicate myself to memorizing all these characters combo's & attacks.

Hell yeah :)

The guy is slow as hell, but very easy to pick up and play.

Unfortuantely, I lack the infinite combo knowledge necessary to win in multiplayer for that game...

If were talking about anyone of them we want I think I like number 2 the best.
