I decide to make this topic to speack up about one of the greatest, in my opinion, MMOFPS game out there on PSN,XBOX LIVE and PC. To start,I must say,I was very angry at ,well, Angry Joe for is review of this game.He BARELY scract the surface of it and is review can be sum up in this "Good game,but TF2 is better". I dont think so.Here the Pros and the Cons for this game.Please note they are all from my personal oppinion.
Pros
The Graphic: There only 6 map curently,but each are very unique, both in desing and location.Each are filled whit little detail and they are all a delight to explore and look at.Every map take place in a know location from the Batmen comic , like Crime Alley and the Amusement Mile.
Costumization: In this game, costumizing your character is amazing: From your load-out to your character visual apparence, everything can be put to your taste.Those who said this game is a sort of TF2 are VERY wrong.From what I anderstand, they only said that because, when you start the game,you can pick a pre-made "Class" for your character.That because you can only start changing you character around level 10 I believe.there 7 cathegory in your load out your can change:
Weapon: the weapon are from your normal machine gun, to sniper rifle , to shotgun , to home made rocket luncher.There also some other weapon such as the Motivator (A megaphone that can heal your ally as well as giving them a defence boost), a metal sling shot that shot exploding bottle and a katana sword (Who do A LOT of dommage).Each weapon can be given a special coat and mod that give them some special quality, like a laser sight or a odor sniffer.You can take up to two weapon whit you.
Support Item: Those are item that can be use for a varity of use. the bear trap , bomb-in-the-box , and Gnome ( sorry,cant remember it actual name,but,it a plastic gnome whit a taizer strap to it) are item that dommage or immobilize your enemy if they come too close.The boomerang, ninja star , pipe bomb or proximity grenade are there to bring the pain at range. There also some more utility item like the body armor (Who is a metal wheel cap) and the energy drink that protect you from enemy gun fire or regenerate your healt respectively. there some other item too,but,I leave you to discover them^^
Gadget:The gadget are there to help you get around.the glider ring alloy you to fly and glide, the roller skate to move around quiker, the inflatebal shoe alloy you to double jump ect.
Character: There 5 body type in the game, each have 3 face you can unlock wich actualy change the overall look of it face.You can also change it voice and the voice pitch,making it lighter or deeper.
Fun Fact: You can also grab two fun fact for your character.These are little adventage that help you in the game.Some make your more resistant to gun shot, make you aim more easely, capture objective quiker and such.
Rampage: When you do a certain thing,you can activate your character rampage. A rampage is a special boost your character can activate once it have done a certain task, like dying 5 time whitout killing anybody (not kidding here). They arent that usefull, but are a fun thing to have.
Spych Profile: This is somethign a bit special.Every character in the game suffer from a spych state, like paranoya , bipolar and such.By selecting one of these, you can get bonus EXP by doing certain action.For exemple,One is that you need to kill enemy while none of your ally are around.It all depend on how you play.
The Maker of the game: Really, those guy who make this game are awesome.They make constant update, make many video about the game , they event made the first DLC free, how cool is that?There also another DLC comming out in 2 day I think^^
The feel of the game: It is rare to see the Batmen universe in a quirky setting,nd Gotham City Imposter do this very well.The character are fun, all thier voice are well made and have illarius one liner (Some that I repeat quite ofthen when I play^^) and I just cant get very mad at this game.
Cons
The Quirkiness of this game:I know many batman fan were a bit.....confuse when this game was announce.Sure, when you use to see batmen going around kicking ass and been in a very dark universe, making it seen like this can be strange.If your a fan of dark stuff,dont play this game,it more funny then anyhting.
Some server problem: It have mostly been fix on the Xbox360, not sure on PS3 , but, the server can be a bit jumpy at time and I have been kick out of game a few time,but,nothing major and it really rare those days.
The game mode:there only 3 game mode this far: deathmatch, Fumigation ( a sort of territory) and Spych Warfare (Capture the flag). That unfortunatly about it.I do believe they are going to make more soon however.
