Even in a field as increasingly crowded as the MMO the upcoming title WildStar still manages to stand out. From the games gorgeous anime-influenced graphics to its unique gameplay elements like the Paths system there is plenty about the game that lets its stand out from the horde (pun very much intended) as it were. Then again what would you expect from Carbine Studios considering it was founded by 17 former WoW lead and/or senior developers and has since expanded its employee list to include key talent from games such as Diablo II, StarCraft, Metroid Prime, Fallout, Everquest, City of Heroes, Half Life 2 and more. Talk about your pedigree.
Now the game’s final two classes stand revealed and ready to join the ranks of previously unveiled classes Warrior, Esper, Spellsinger, and Stalker. The new guys on the block are the Medic and the Engineer and it is the former that is the particular focus of today’s story. The Medic is described by as “a close to mid-range class” that “with clever character customization and ability choice” allows the Medic to “handle DPS and heal effectively at the same time.” The class will also be able to equip medium armor for greater damage absorption when necessary.
