Is there ever a bad time to save money? I cannot imagine very many scenarios in which a person would want to spend more money for something when the option to pay less is available. This is why I recommend that even digital-phobes sit up and pay attention to this opportunity to buy three Atlus games for a reduced price digitally until August 31st. All three titles have been marked down in the eShop to below what they are available via retail (even used), so if you have been waiting to buy any of them now is the time. The three titles and their reduced prices are as follows:
Code of Princess (DS) – Normally $29.99, On sale for $19.99
Soul Hackers (3DS) – Normally $39.99 new, On sale for $29.99
Etrian Odyssey IV (3DS) – Normally $39.99 new, On sale for $29.99
If you follow the links above to the reviews of each game above you will note that I was the one who handled that duty for each as well. So I can also state with some authority that all three games are absolutely worth your time if you have any interest in them. Even Soul Hackers (the weakest of the three titles in my opinion) is still an above average game in its own right and one that will offer plenty of enjoyment to longtime fans of the SMT franchise in particular.
Dragon’s Crown fans should also take note that Code features similar gameplay as DC albeit with more an action-RPG twist. Indeed, both games even draws inspiration from the same Capcom D&D arcade beat’ em ups plus Code of Princess also brings to the table a sharp sense of humor, a massive pool of playable characters, and up to four-player off and online co-op. It is a real winner and well worth picking up if it has slipped beneath your radar before now.
Finally, Etrian Odyssey IV is the best iteration of the franchise yet and one that any RPG fan, old-school or otherwise, owes it to themselves to give a purchase. As a remainder, the sale for the three games ends after August 31 so do wait to long if you plan to take advantage of this opportunity.
