Whenever talk of Pixar sequels surfaces people always seem inevitably look towards The Incredibles and its lack of continuations as a major source of disappointment. Of course never mind the fact that these are the same people who complain about so-called ‘unnecessary’ sequels. They also choose to ignore the fact that Brad Bird aka the guy behind The Incredibles has repeatedly stated he has yet to come up with a sequel idea he finds satisfactory and… Ahem. Sorry about that. I have had too many arguments on this subject in the past and it still remains something of a sore point.
Anyways, The Incredibles. Sequel. Etc. Well all of you may just be in luck because the upcoming NFC-driven title Disney Infinity will be presenting a sequel of sorts featuring everyone’s favorite red and black clad superhero family. Not only that but the first film’s baddie Syndrome will also be making an appearance because apparently getting sucked into a plane engine is not that fatal after all. Who knew? Check out the new videos, which respectively focus on the characters and the play set being produced based on The Incredibles, below.
Disney Infinity will arrive for *deep breath* Xbox 360, PS3, Wii U, PC, Wii, 3DS, and PS Vita on August 18 in North America, August 20 in Europe, and August 23 in the UK.
