Where is simant 2?!?!

Will Wright is the man who brought us SimCity, The Sims, and Spore. However, he didn’t work on the new city simulator by Maxis and Electronic Arts, so he stopped by to interview Ocean Quigley, the Creative Director at the helm of the property that made him a household name.

In theory, this is a self-congratulatory commercial for the new EA title. Despite this, Wright actually manages to pack a lot of insight into that short video, including the potential for leveraging guilt in the medium of interactive electronics. Of course, guilt isn’t necessarily a deterrent if you go into SimCity with the intent of burning your metropolis to the ground.

SimCity arrives for PC on March 5th in the US and March 8 in the UK and Europe.

That’s nice and all but I imagine EA will pump out expansions and DLC faster than they can fix existing and new bugs/glitches. Sims 3 still has save corruption, CTD problems and numerous other issues they care very little about sorting out. These issues aren’t even rare, they’re pretty common.
