Get ready to plunder that booty.

A reputable source close to Blistered Thumbs has revealed that the next entry in the long-running Assassin’s Creed series will take place in the Caribbean Islands. The title will allegedly take a heavy focus on naval battles and allow for more exploration across the various islands. For now, this is all we know, but the game’s reveal is apparently right around the corner.
Basically, this is going to be the Pirates of the Caribbean game we never got. I personally have never played an Assassin’s Creed title, but if this game is all about being a pirate and fighting in cool ship battles then sign me up! What do YOU think? Would you be interested in an Assassin’s Creed game of this nature? Let us know in the comments below.
Taylor’s love of the PSP flourished during his 1 year stay in South Korea. Whether it be on the subway, bus, or long walks on the beach, the PSP’s allure grew in Taylor’s heart. When he’s not playing games, he enjoys playing the guitar, making videos, and trying to learn the words to various KPOP songs. Favorite game of this generation: Uncharted 2: Among Thieves. Favorite game of all time: Persona 4.

Boooring! :/
They’re kinda just tossing out the whole “Assassin” and parkour sneaky bits of Assassin’s Creed and turning it in to a Pirates of the Caribbean/Master and Commander game.
I can’t think of a less appropriate setting for what used to be the trademark mechanics of AC than a bunch of tropical islands.
You know, if the next game were to be set in Fuedal Japan (interesting idea, except it’s been done to death) it would be hard for me to take this franchise seriously, even though it lost me with the expansion titles. Why? They are already pushing the idea that Desmond has Arabic, Italion, and North American indegenios ancestry; slap Japanese in there and you have one bizzare genetic pool. Not to mention all of these descendants just so happen to be assassins. It’s just hard for me to believe that Desmond’s ancestry line is made up of a mix of vastly different ethnic groups that all happen to be assassins.
Back on topic, they should have just gone with Fuedal Japan. An Assassin’s Creed game set in the Caribbean…well let me boot up my copy of Tropico 2, because I’m going to need plenty of booze and women before the night is through. YARRR!
I agree on the whole ancestry thing. Is Desmond Miles the human equivalent of Sly Cooper? How many assassin ancestors does he even have?
At this point, its just a guess on how long Ubisoft will keep this story going on. I mean that had like what, three games based around Ezio alone?
Are they pulling an Ezio? They are, aren’t they?

Maybe we’ll see an elderly Connor at the war of 1812
The best part of Assassins Creed 3? The sailing portions. The worst part of Assassins Creed 3? How quickly you ran out of sailing missions. In other words, I’m totally behind this.
Wait, what? What happened to the samurai stuff?
Next Chapter after next around the 1800s During the Decline of the Feudal System and allow them to do a whole “Last Samurai” angle.
I was genuinely surprised of fun and exciting the ship battles in AC3 was, especially since I expected them to suck, so this has gotten me kinda excited.
Just finished reading about that PotC title. Course wont this occur before the events of AC3 because IIRC the heyday of Caribbean activity was quite a bit before the American Revolution.
There will be some kind of silly MacGuffen that will explain this I’m sure.
I’ve only played (some of) the first game, and I haven’t been too impressed so far. I know the series gets better over time, but aside from the Ezio trilogy, the idea of a pirate-based Assassin’s Creed game is something I look forward to.
