God of War eat your heart out.

I cannot escape the feeling this trailer for the multiplayer action-shooter with RPG elements from Atlus titled God Mode should not come across that strange. After all the combination I just described is more or less the multiplayer setup for every Call of Duty game since Modern Warfare (along with a truly countless number of knockoffs good and bad) so it is hardly territory that in and of itself is particularly unusual. So if it is not the gameplay that is weirding me out… Oh I get it. It is everything else about the trailer that struck me as utterly bizarre including a narrator that sounds like nothing less than the love child of The Gromble from Aaahh!!! Real Monsters (look him up you bunch of whippersnappers) and HIM from the Powerpuff Girls. Truly a voice that will haunt my nightmares for weeks to come. Well then. Carry onwith your new gameplay trailer below God Mode . Carry on.

All kidding aside, I have to say that God Mode does not look half-bad for a ten dollar, downloadable-only title. And if a four-player third-person action-shooter is not exactly the first thing that springs to mind when one thinks ‘Atlus’, that just means the company is branching out a little. Which in turn in my opinion is never a bad thing. God Mode will arrive for PSN, XBLA, and PC sometime in the remaining early months of this year. Stay tuned to Blistered Thumbs for continuing coverage of the game and be sure to share your thoughts and opinions in the comments section below.

I thought the narrator sounded like the love child of Tim Curry and Mother Brain from Captain N.

Lets split the difference. The narrator sounds like the love child Mother Brain and HIM. Which is now the single most terrifying ship I have ever contemplated. If you need me I will be pouring bleach in my ear.

My god… Its the most glorious voice ever. I think it sounds like If mother brain had a love child with The plant from “the little shop of horrors”.

This looks really cool. It good be a gem of a game or a complete bust; either way, I may be getting this one once it releases.
