I can’t say much about the new DMC I just know I prefer the style of the older games I may explain it a bit more in another comment or not so I’ll just put on thing that annoys me, it’s is that Dante is no longer Part human, which I always felt (long before I learned about the reboot) played a role in making him so likeable to me.

Heh I recently did this to since I got the HD collection instead of the reboot (money well spent by the way). I can cite two issues of DMC3 that haven’t aged that well – the puzzles create some pacing issues and the dodging, unless you’re using Trickster, is fidgety cause you have to press 2 buttons and the stick in a direction to accomplish it. Of course, for someone with better coordination than I, that latter issue probably isn’t an issue.

Everything else, imo, is still fantastic. Too bad that the DMC:DMC defense force has taken to bashing DMC3 in an attempt to make their turd look more appealing.

Yeah I agree. Both have the flaws and strong points. Neither are bad games though.

Sure FmC is not BAD game, hell if it would have different name and it would not be releated DMC in anyway, i would enjoyed it. BTW normal mode in ps2 DMC3 is hard mode by mistake. Normal mode doesnt exist in DMC3 ps2 version. I have played about 200+ DMC3:SE i can sure you camera isnt problem after you get used to it. Sure it was problematic first time, but it faded away once you learned to control it. Lock-on “circle” does exist new games too, MGR has it and it is lot better have own choice of lock-on “circle” than not have.

Had dude DmC is a pretty bad game and destroys the series like Dino Crisis 3,The Third Birthday,Bomberman Act Zero did to their respective franchises. The good points for DmC:Devil May Cry do not override the bad points.

Even if it was own game,it still would be considered an awful representation of hack and slash games.

Spawn Armageddon on the PS2 and Xbox outclasses it.

DMC3 had a lot more meat and replay value.

Metal Gear Rising despite being a non canon Metal Gear game demonstrates how it is done.

Who needs dodging when you have royalguard? royalguard alone makes DMC3 far superior than FmC
