    Jeeeeesus fucking Christ… xD

    WHAT!?

Whining about Sony releasing a “sequel” to the PS3 and praising Nintendo and Fire Emblem?

    This is rich.

I’d say “get a better mic”, but no. Just stop. How did this NOT kick the Wii U presentation’s ass?

Yeah my thoughts exactly. Especially when you can probably pull off those graphics on the PS3. (The Last of Us sure has no problem doing that)

“The PS4? Forget that, play Fire Emblem.” I can get behind that, Fire Emblem Awakening is the closest a game has come to consuming my life, I wouldn’t say I was addicted to it, but pretty damn close. I recently got burnt out on it for a while and needed a break, but now I think I’m ready to go back in there.

Back in the old days rich people played sports on horseback. To play on foot was considered low class, so they named that sport football as an insult. To sock something means to kick it, so that was another name for the game, soccer. American Football derived from rugby which was another form of football. Many sports played on foot were originally associated with football. For those who can’t get over it, I feel sorry for you.

Yes PCgamers are total thieves. So much so that I bought a great game in 96. Lost the disc. Found and bought a new copy of it from amazon in 03. Lost that disc. Found a pirated version and played it for about 3 months. Found that it was available on GOG and bought it again. The pure thievery I’ve done is astounding.

Me: “Kermthulu I summon you to wipe out Blizzard for being their betrayal and failure as developers. I beseech you with the powers of the famous seers of this podcast, your devoted servants!”

Kermthulu: “Haha, I’m too busy at the moment but your pleads have been heard my child! I will send my best general, Fozspawn, to give them their just deserts…. YaaaaaaaaaaaaaaY!” *wiggles and wonders off*

Torchlight 2 was really I think the better investment, As I read details about Diablo 3 I thought this kind of thing would happen eventually, it was obvious that blizzard employees were pulling that always online thing out of their ass. But, depending on the price I really am a bit interested in seeing just how bad Diablo 3 is so i might get it for the console version.

I wish you’d actually talked more about the PS4, and seriously. I think I tuned everything but the PS4 stuff out, except for maybe the football thing. Yeah, the game you actually play with your feet is football.

I’ve actually never purchased a new console until it’s discontinued. How many years do you have to wait for the price to drop in half?

PS4 can get bent honestly. There’s about one outcome that could get me to grit my teeth and buy one (Kingdom Hearts III being a PS4 exclusive), and I will do so with much wailing and gnashing of teeth I assure you.

I actually like the Wii Fire Emblem more than Awakening, but that’s because it’s downright Suikodenesque and I loves me some Suikoden. Awakening is still excellent and its attention to supports is, as you note, a big part of that. I’ve definitely considered just grinding out random battles now that I’ve beat it so I can pair up more characters, do the paralogues that spawn, and just get more supports in general. What makes the game work there is that most of the cast is insane, it’s great.

Just when I decide to tone down the consumerism, Austin makes me want to get a 3ds… typical.

The ps4 has lost me on the backwards compatibility thing, because there is no way anyone could convince me with any amount of technical mumbo-jumbo that they didnt do that intentionally. But maybe I’m just butthurt ; ;.

I hope you find an appropiately crappy cricket game to torture yourself with for our amusement.

    Thanks for another fun episode!

I bought a PS2 way back in 2005, because I saw all the amazing action, adventure, and platformer games the console had. Yes, those three types of games are my absolute favorites. If Sony abandons those kinds of games in favor or whatever else, I will NOT buy the PS4.

Also, what the #^*%?!? Pretty HD nextest gen graphics can make us feel stuff for teh furst tiem evar?? Are they saying Silent Hill, MGS 3, or Beyond Good & Evil did NOT make us feel for the characters?!?!?!?!? What a bunch of %^&*()&(^*&%^$%#!~!

makes you wonder maybe the graphic whores do have that problem of not feeling emotions unless the games has “30,000 polygons” in the game?

So many people are surprised there isn’t much of an advancement with the graphics from the PS4 demo, Its like I said at the start of this generation… somewhere you have to hit that point where software advancements will meet a decline in advancement. People are going to stop feeling that sense of “new is better” to determine what real emotions are eventually… the most emotional moment for me personally in a video game… is Final Fantasy 6 when Celes almost committed suicide because she had no faith in the world. For an optional path it really felt like it was the path the video game wanted you to take because of just over all how emotional and fitting it was to the world. It might not be the most emotional now that I think of it, but it is the most memorable. Pixels of low quality can do just as good as high quality it all depends on the art style itself and not just the tools you have available.

Guys if you are looking for a game for a let’s play special, why not Aliens: Colonial Marines in a 3 player co-op?

Everyone talked about it(ripped it a new one more like it), yet no one did a let’s play.

(And no I’m not suggesting this as a punishment for all the terrible things Johnny has said through these podcasts.)

Actually, Chrom is descended from Marth who wielded the very same sword and has that same blue hair, and since we never had the pleasure of hearing Marth’s voice before, one might reasonably believe that the masked character is Marth. Except that pushing you towards that belief makes it doubly obvious that it’s not Marth.

I sense that in the near future Austin and Johnny will throw it out in a DBZ-like fight and Leon will go to the store to buy something…

Soccer is called Soccer because of the BRITISH.

It’s a word they coined as a shortened version of “Association Football”

    aSOCiation.
