Lotus Prince Let’s Play: Silent Hill Shattered Memories (Complete)!, 8.3 out of 10 based on 7 ratings

Here we are, folks, for a change of pace, in terms of Silent Hill. We’re going to take a fresh new look at the original Silent Hill, only this time, there’s an unreliable narrator, and it’s the player! We work our way up to where we meet Cybil, and we know that something’s up, because she acts NOTHING like she did in the original game! In the possibly literal sense, let’s go crazy!

This video is a playlist!  When it loads, click the installment you wish to see, or simply let them play continuously!

This is my 29th Let’s Play!  Check out my other LP’s, including the other Silent Hill games, in my archive, here!

I got the “love lost”-ending on my first playthrough and I don’t know how. I gave Lisa the blue pill even if she needed the green one, killing her (I suppose). I even got the blond/seductive Cybill even if she acted like the nice one..

From all the SilentHill-games I really like this one the most alongside Origins. Homecoming wasnt so bad either besides some missteps like Boogyman-head. All in all, I just dont understand the hate for the newer games in the series.

Your Gameplay was brilliant and I could see shades of my own gamepülay when I started. I just was a worse swimmer in the end with the nuncuik and WiiMote. Thanks for playing ^w^

    I like this game
    the only nitpicks I have
beside it’s a odd reboot or what ever you call it,
the ps2 version had to be downgraded and was ported differently,
example ice effects are less or non transparents then the wii was.
but I plated worster ported games
like ghostbusters for the ps2… it’s crashes often
and very long loading time and coop play was remove
and some texures goes missing in place.
oh Walter Peck have no facel mocap either XD

Yeah, I paid for choosing the PS2 version. If I have a choice between using motion controls and not using them, then I’ll go with not using them. Unfortunately, this game was clearly designed for the Wii-mote, so the game ended up controlling really awkwardly with buttons.

You want a bad ported game? Check out Spiderman 3 for the Wii. Oh. My god.

    SPOILER WARNING

I find it kind of funny, that the “Love Lost” ending I got was in actually worse than your “Wicked and Weak” because I got the “Cheryl is in Denial” ending to the therapy. So it got kind of sad look at the good ending to what was on the tape but having Cheryl hold on to Harry and crying refusing to let go, and it’s the only ending that Harry does not turn to ice, so she chooses to rather live in her fantasy then face reality.

Seriously, who would rather live in the silent hill other-world rather than face the truth?

Oh wow, I only looked up the video cutscenes, so I never knew about the in-game footage of whether or not Harry turns into ice. I never knew that that was even a thing that could change. Dayum.

        Spoiler Warning

Well the other Cheryl ending are only effected by what you do in the therapy parts of the game.

I decided to act like i was dismissing the therapist, I did not color the house, refused to give him any answers and i did not move any pictures when he asked me to sort them.

So for a semi “good” ending do not fight the therapist.

“I like how the game is like “this is locked you may have to unlock it elsewhere” because we haven’t played a silent hill game before”

I like how you’ve done 29 LP’s and still complain about tutorials, when you are the one who turned them on.

I also like how you open the video bitching about motion controls then spend half the video saying you wish you had used motion controls.

Well, sometimes tutorials can be decent and legitimately useful. I just get bothered by the condescending ones, like “press A to interact with things.” I use tutorials for the parts that AREN’T painfully obvious. :-P

Also, yeah, I really dislike motion controls. However, it turns out that this particular game was designed with them in mind, so the joke was on me.

Is it just me or is the order of the vids weird? it went from part 3b to 9b then 9a and then 9b. after that it went in reverse order.

Sorry about that. There was a mix-up with the order in the playlist. I just fixed it, so it should be good to go. :)

I love how the game only gives you the options in the therapist office to go for the extreme in every scenario. Like “Witch horror movie stereotype character are you?”

Yeah, pretty much. The cool thing is, though, that the results, if you can detect them during the game, are pretty sweet. Easily my favorite part is the coloring book.
