Retro City Rampage to be Available Pretty Much Everywhere Come January
Good news lovers of all things either retro or rampagey.

Retro City Rampage is one those indie success stories I am always happy to see. While not a game without its flaws, RCR is nothing less than a true labor of love from a single man (along with an assist on music) whose affection for not just gaming but a wide swath of pop culture is as obvious as it is deep. The game has already found great success in the US on PSN (in both PS3 and PS Vita flavors) and PC and now word has come down that the first month of the new year will see the game’s reach extend even further. Worldwide even.
That is because on January 2, 2013 Retro City Rampage will finally be released on Xbox 360 as an XBLA title. Not only that but January will also see the release of the game to WiiWare as well which means that both Wii owners and Wii U owners alike will be able to get in on the anachronistic 8-bit anarchy as well. But wait, there is more. January is also when the game will finally arrive on PSN in Europe and the UK as well so that the whole world can join together in the over-the-top, ultra-violent, classic-GTA-by-way-of-every-80′s-pop-culture-reference-imaginable action.
And even those who already have owned and enjoyed Retro City Rampage since its initial release in October have reason to celebrate. That is because the additional time working on getting the XBLA version up and running has allowed creator/developer Brian Provinciano to implement “polish, tuning and (other) improvements” in this version of the game. And all of these changes/updates will also be patched into the PC and PSN versions of RCR come January as well. It is post holiday-miracle if one stretches the term ‘miracle’ far beyond the breaking point of its actual meaning. Hurray! Stay tuned to Blistered Thumbs for continuing coverage of this and other indie gaming related news and be sure to share your thoughts and opinions in the comments section below.

Are you a bad enough dude to take a lockpick, excuse the princess, and take an arrow to the knee, all the while jumping a shark made up of wibbly-wobbly timey-wimey? Inconceivable!
Get ready to rocket yourself to new levels of AWESOME! With this pixelated powerhouse!
This is the gnarliest commercial I’ve seen all year.
One of the most anticipated indie games of the year has some special features on the Vita.
If you don’t play this when it games out, it would be a retrocity (rampage?)

Music Mondays revisits the band that brought us tunes from Scott Pilgrim vs. the World and Bit.Trip Runner.
they should really put this on the wiiu store rather than only just on the wiiware store. simply put the wiiu store allows for sale events and putting disscounts on the game inorder to boost sales. and beaing a foundation indie game on a new platform means lots and lots of sales down the line
I just couldn’t get into RCR as well as I got into Hotline Miami.
