Note: It’s a longer episode, so I apologize if it takes a few extra seconds for Blip to load.

Where is Kid Icarus: Uprising? New Take on an old Franchise, really fun story and characters, superb music, tons of content, pretty long story mode, a lot of replayability and intresting controls.

Glad, I don’t really care about the VGAs.

I really wonder who keeps down voting comments praising Kid Icarus: Uprising, something it more then deserves. Who ever you are, get over it, you were probably too busy bitching about an admittedly hard to get use to control layout or whining about the light-hearted cartoon like dialogue to enjoy an almost flawless game.

you know this podcast made me wonder what if Sonic Adventures ’06 was intentionally a fan fiction porno that could have gotten rejected but simply got reshaped? about the dolphin dildos I thought they were made for animal lovers…..as in those furry type fantasies. AC3 looks lamer than AC2 except the battle ship part and open forest, and yes I watched a whole playthrough of AC3. DMC reboot…….it’s just the more I see the more bad things come up…*covers face*. oh the VGAs Machinima what are they doing?! yet I’d watch it to see Adam Kovic, Matt Danevik & maybe The Creatures.

speaking of Sonic……….*plays ‘Escape from the city’ in background*

    (anyone know game grumps?)

The VGAs are a marketing campaign to popularize video games among a demographic of people that like watching award shows. I mean, I like watching movies & TV, but I’d slit my wrists before I sit down to watch the oscars, emmy awards, or golden globes (that doesn’t involve Ricky Gervais insulting people, but even then I’ll just watch the clips of Ricky online & skip all the bullshit). While there are certainly groups that could enjoy both, the VGAs don’t appeal to the gamers, they appeal to people that love celebrity culture.

In principle they’re all wrong; fan voting? Popular opinion isn’t capable of accurately judging the truth of anything. Couple that with an incapacity to involve people that work/know things in/about the industry, games, and can relate to the people that purchase and enjoy the products in question, Spike may as well be airing an award show where starving children from Africa critique & pin blue ribbons on fine French wine & cheeses. It’s ridiculous, and they’re terrible.

On a lighter note though, I find it amusing that men would rather be penetrated with a represntation of an animal then one of another man. Beastiality is okay, but “no homo”. I think it begs the question – do the dolphins come in male & female varieties, or have all those men been having not only sex with dolphins, but GAY sex with dolphins.

I always hear that the AC games are good but I could never play through the first one because it’s pretty boring. I can play through a bad game, but not a boring one.

I played the demo for DMC is alright, the city concept is really nice. The boss was a nice fight but I hated hearing it swear at me the entire time with that HORRID voice. I think my ears are still recovering.

Yeah I came to the same conclusion Austin did. There are no Japanese games in any category so I knew once again the VGA’s were not for me. :P

    Sonic is not back. :P

Sonic fans are frustrating people. On the one hand, they must be dedicated, there is SO MUCH Sonic fanfic. On the other, I seriously heard people saying Generations was just this terrible game. I mean, I’d go so far as to say Generations is just the best game in the series and people are trying to say this is down there with 2k6 is… what?

They probably like Sonic ’06 better because it fits better with their creepy self-insert fanfics. Sure the gameplay is verging on unplayable but in what other game does Sonic fall in love with a human girl? Oh god why does Sonic ’06 go there? WHY? Also sorry didn’t mean to thumb down, the buttons got switched around..

Sonic fanatics can be annoying, defending bad games, fanfiction, fan characters and recolors everywhere, but in the end, all of that stuff is fairly harmless. The people who think Generations is as bad as 06 are quite simply retarded, no if, ands, or buts, they are. If you don’t like it that’s fine, but if you think that a working, functioning, playable, and finished game is as bad as the abysmal disaster of unfinished code, that terrible on all fronts except music then you are a blind hater, writing it off due to some vendetta and probably didn’t even play it or plain stupid. I really hope those kind of people don’t work or intend to work in critiquing or making games.

I played the first Assasin’s Creed game long ago and I remember liking it but somewhere down the line it got repetitive and boring and I left it in the dust. Played a bit of Revelations on OnLive and turned it off 5 minutes in cause of the awful controls, it’s just that some mechanics could have been implemented in a much simpler way and I don’t see myself playing with a controller wich the game is obviously made for. I really felt drunk playing it.
