BT Podcast 33: We’re Getting a Half-Life Movie, 8.3 out of 10 based on 12 ratings

I would pay good money to see this film.

Torchwood was a mistake.

Note: It’s a longer episode, so I apologize if it takes a few extra seconds to load.

I felt that this podcast was lacking in Leon, so I made a soundboard in case you need to make another show without him.

Fuck, I’m starting to look like a stalker.

    Here you go anyway.

    Concerning news:
I think movies based on video games or video games based on movies, or really interaction between games and any other media could be game news territory, if there’s a noticable impact on gaming culture (like how a game or genre is viewed, etc.).

Also people that get inspired to do stuff irl by games. For example “Dude attempts world record by jumping off skyscraper into haystack.” “Person XY diminishes turtle population by jumping on them, says he’s a hero.” Whether or official or not, sometimes you can definitely tell how some actions came to be.

Unless someone specifically says though “I shot those people because Call of Duty”, there’s no way to connect things like that, imo. Also, if we as gamers give the impression that we feel the need to discuss this, we make make it look like it automatically DOES concern us, if that makes any sense… We cant analyze people’s psyche on a gaming site, we have too little to go on here.

ps. sorry this is an extra post, commented half way through the first time.

ps2. 21 december… merry apocalypse everyone, here’s to many more!

I just have to say this. I have watched quite a few shows on TGWTG and Blistered Thumbs, and liked a lot of them. But the BT Podcast is the only one i start looking forward to pretty much as soon as i finish an episode. Informative as well as entertaining, analytical as well as silly as hell. Not much more you can ask from a show that consists of three guys talking. Love your stuff guys, keep up the good work and keep having fun!

Also looking forward to your let’s play of Cricket Simulator 2013

Yeah I won’t be buying Virtue’s Last Reward on the vita because of that. I’ll get it on the 3ds instead. Sorry Vita you lost some sales.

Digital only is just, ugh, no. No! Don’t do it! Unless your some indie kid who grew up on the streets of Nintendo Land making games on your home computers.

I listen to the podcast either when it goes up on BT or when I see it on TGWTG.

As to what news stories you should report, I think it would be wrong to do most stories related to the shooting and such, as then you seem to only be aiming for clicks. As for the GLADoS thing, I would say that’s appropriate because it’s something that would interest a lot of gamers and is basically a shout-out geared towards gamers. It’s mostly a harmless piece, really.

    Bioshock Infinite GOY next year!

Yeah the Resident Evil games are a bit ridiculous, but in regards to Resident Evil 2, they actually do explain why the Police station is built like a maze, its cause the chief had some secrets he didn’t want people to find out about, or something like that, its not much, but its something of an explanation.

And on the topic of whether you guys should have news stories on when video games get blamed for gun crimes or not, I don’t personally want it, cause it just seems like indulging that despicable behavior, I think its best to ignore them unless there trying to pass some stupid law again, but if people do want these stories on this site, I’d be fine with it.

Lollipop Chainsaw enjoy suda 51 games I will get that one later suda 51 games always go low prices pretty fast

Glad hear walking dead at least take risk compare to other games that stay safe do same thing over and over again. Also true I hate games that cut off the scenes it too violent or sad. I am really surprise that walking dead do that. If only have interest right now to play point and click game then would give try of walking dead.

Need to play underrated Kirby titles only play Kirby super star, Kirby Adventure and remade Kirby Nightmare to Dreamland and Kirby epic yarn.

I like what you say about Saturday Night Live I never watch it only heard but everyone have their own generation. I grew up watching 90 cartoons and cant watch new cartoons but kids enjoy them oh well.

Like getting the inside information about games and the topics. Instead of hearing the mainstream game reviews and news. Yuck
Enjoy the podcast and cant wait for the next one
