Kirby is the Jesus of video games.

A student of Literature and Religion at Florida State University, Austin Yorski is a jack-of-all-trades around BT. He goes by Austin or Yorski (but not both), and spends all the time he isn’t reading or playing football on writing, editing, moderating, and gaming. He can also collect all 120 stars in Super Mario 64 blindfolded.

I always have your podcast in the background while I’m working on some drawings.
I listen to you guys when I’m walking home from work (it takes about an hour). Each week I’m looking forward to this podcast and it’s kind of a highligt of the week to listen to it.
Actually, I do put on the podcast while playing WoW. Or building a model.
When listening to the podcast I’m either cleaning or playing a game.
I loved that last joke
(Now that I’ve actually listened the episode…)
I used to listen to your podcasts while playing, writing or surfing online, but now I’m looking for things to drown out the repetitive radio station at work. Alas, I can only go through two episodes at a time, or my brain starts to leak out of my ear.
I quite enjoy listening to you joke around, talk smack and discuss topics that are vaguely familiar to me. And then there’s… Well. I better not make this comment a love letter to Leon.
I listen to you guys while I play games that don’t require me to pay attention to audio like League of Legends and Guild Wars 2.
Also, this has nothing to do with videogames, which is right on topic, but it seems to me that Leon would really enjoy Bravest Warriors. It’s a Youtube web-series made by the same guy behind Adventure Time. It’s presence online should make easier for him to actually watch it.
Splatterhouse! I have words about Splatterhouse!
First of, Jim Cummings, who does the voice of the terror mask doesn’t only also voice Pete – He’s a a whole bunch of Disney characters including Winnie the Pooh and Darkwing Duck. Now try to get THAT out of your head!
Also, the 2010 Splatterhouse is technically a terrible game for its generation. It feels strongly like a PS2 game in high-res, and it is absurdly short and easy. I beat it with all trophievements in a single weekend.
That said… I still love that damn thing. I rented it, then bought it. I think that there is a certain earnest quality about it. The people who made it really tried to make it good, and the voice performances are too much fun. And beating the shit out of monsters while death metal plays is a great way for me to let off some steam.
My experience is there’s not really any dead genres, so much as there’s genres that died in certain environments. Like, if you’ve got a PS3 or 360 and wanted a turn-based JRPG, you were shit out of luck. You pretty much had to go hunting for oddball indie stuff or settle for low rent DS games (Radiant Historia aside). I’m sure there’s other examples but that’s the one I’m invested in.
I actually don’t play anything when listening to you guys. I’m kinda like Leon and google stuff that you talk about and enriching my knowledge about the world of video games. Oh and Farmageddon was hilarious. PILEUUUUP!
Are BT Podcast episodes 1-20 still available? I’d love to listen to them at the office, but the download links don’t seem to work. They just take me to the main page of Free File Hosting.
I sit down with a cup of tea and have the podcast play while I work on some design projects and recently when I grind while playing SMT Nocturne.
