May I request we remove Dead Hand, and give the whole bottom of the well his place? If there is one reason I won’t replay OoT then it would be that. I’m not going to say it was because I was young, but that was the most I rushed through a zelda dungeon.
The creature from SCP? Yeah, you had me when you said it was like a weeping angel. Now to try and get my friend to play it without him looking it up.
I persoanlly think that Chrysalids from X-COM deserve a mention. (Though this video was made before the game was released, but that’s no excuse since they were in the original game too.)
These guys are not only fast, but they can do massive damage to you, poison you, and if they kill you, you come back as a zombie for a few turns before another Chrysalid bursts out of you Alien style! O_O
Seriously, fuck Chrysalids!
I liked this list, but personally, I’d nominate two monsters from my childhood as honorable mentions.
1. The spider from Sim Ant. It’s fast, loud, and freaking nuts.
2. The protozoid slimers from Duke Nukem 3D. Seriously, fuck those things.

I can’t remember his SCP code name, but I believe he is called “The Old man” he is in that game too. The one that is black and walks through walls causing decay. That guy is freaky as all hell.
Everyone remembers the Scary Piano, the Re-deads, and the Ghost from Pokemon, while Dead Hand seems to get the shaft. Thank you for putting him on the list and reminding us all of Ocarina of Time’s finest piece of nightmare fuel.

People have many fears…just because you dont find certain things scary does not mean it’s not scary to others. It could possibly be that whatever -you- think is scary someone else thinks your some kind of diaper wearing baby who needs his mama to turn on the nightlight.
Just putting that in perspective. :p
