Price Drops for Wii and 360 Bundles , 10.0 out of 10 based on 2 ratings

It’s-a-savings!

Well folks, the holidays are right around the corner and Nintendo and Microsoft are getting an early start by dropping the price on their home consoles. The Nintendo Wii will be re-released in a $129.99 bundle on October 28th and come packaged with Wii Sports and Wii Sports Resort. The deal will be available in most stores and come out exactly three weeks before the Wii U is released in North America.

Microsoft on the other hand has provided a $50 price cut on all their 360 holiday bundles, which include versions that have free games like a download of Skyrim or Forza Motorsport 4 as well as bundling the Kinect with the 4 GB version of the console. This price cut is already available, though some retailers have not begun participating in it.

    I’d snag one of those 360s.. if I wasn’t getting a Wii-U.

360 I could understand, but why the Wii, shouldn’t they be putting more focus in selling the Wii U console, and attention to the wii at a cheaper price possibly affect it?

They’ve probably got plenty of left-over Wii inventory that they want to liquidate ASAP. Now is a good time to do so, seeing as how the WiiU will be in low supply this season, and some parents may decide to make do with a regular Wii instead for Christmas.
