“Mew-Genics” is Team Meat’s New Game, 9.7 out of 10 based on 3 ratings

Oh Team Meat, you quirky Guys you.

Today, Team Meat has announced their next big project…and it’s a little weird. The game, which is titled Mew-Genics, started as a game jam between Team Meat’s Edmund McMillen and Tommy Refenes and has grown into a full game, which Mcmillen describes as “The strangest project I’ve ever worked on.” No release date has been given for the project though the game is “randomly generated, strange, and involve cats.”

For Team Meat fans who are eagerly anticipating the new Meat Boy game, SMB: TG, don’t worry, the game is still being developed but Mcmillen and Refenes are taking a break to finish Mew-Genics.

So, what do you think this game will be about? Please share your thoughts in the comments below and keep following Blistered Thumbs for all the latest gaming news.

Hmm, a game starring a Siamese cat. It isn’t weirder than an anthropomorphic meat man rescuing his girlfriend from a mad fetus who’s a Snidely Whiplash fan.

Looking forward to seeing how this game will turn out, along with the eventual Meat Boy sequel later on.

Meat boy is not antrhomorphic meat, he is a boy without skin. That’s why his girlfriend is bandage girl. He’s supposed to ‘need’ her, she completes him. This analogy (that the designer said was the intent) only works if he is a boy without skin.
