Yup… havent played this one too!
In episode 2 of Late to The Party, Smarty admits he never owned an SNES…. So to rectify this, it’s about time that smarty plays a very good SNES game. The choice? Kirby Super Star!

I run a show called The Machinimist where i rail on machinima culture, and review certain machinima films. I also do a show about games that i never played, but really should have

did you just say “Xbax”?
I also grew up with a Genesis instead of a SNES, and I do not regret it in the least, though I acknowledge there are a lot of awesome SNES games which I have since downloaded on virtual console or bought on compilation disks. Do not look back on your sega history with shame, but with pride!
Um, this is awkward. I was waiting for you to go into more detail about the game, but then it was over. I think this is pretty lacking. Yeah, the game is easy, I understand that. But hardly any mention of the Great Cave Offensive and how you have to think about how to get all of those treasures? No? You’re just going to go too far on that hating King Dedede joke? Alrighty then.
My nostalgia tingles.
Came for the chibi cthulhu. I only owned a N64, around the time when everyone had Xbox and PS2. I then bought a used Xbox and PS2 much later when I had a job. By then everyone already had their PS3 and Xbox360s…which were faulty devices that fucked up and destroyed user’s games. Life is pretty sweet for me right now. ^_^
One more thing that you probably should have mentioned is the fact that you can let a second player play as Kirby’s partners. This really is a game that is best played with a younger sibling, because of that, since you can just recreate them if they die.
it was just a little odd reviewing a collection. Maybe. Because, let’s say you pick up the genesis collections from Steam. Do you review the games individually or as a collection? I guess in defense that Kirby games play kind of similar so it could work this time.
Samurai Kirby is simplistic because it is a minigame carried over from the NES Kirby’s Adventure. Also one detail you missed is Superstar is on Kirby’s Dream Collection for Wii which was released a month ago. This was pretty much the best Kirby until Return to Dreamland.
Thanks for the heads up!
I liked the format this just for games like Kirby Super Star.
Alright, I gotta be frank, I’m not gonna question your opinion, I respect it, but I would really like to know why you think Melee is better than Brawl.
