Latest ZombiU Video Offers a Tour of the Tower of London, 10.0 out of 10 based on 1 rating

As vacation spots go, this one has seen better days.

Unquestionably, ZombiU is one of the potential killer apps for the Wii U launch, especially as far as hardcore gamers are concerned. And yet, even separated from the fact that it is a exclusive launch title for a major new system, ZombiU continues to shape up as a game with just enough unique aspects to make it stand out from the ever more crowded field of zombie games.

There is certainly some real potential in this game and not least of which because the game has aspects that remind me of the best elements of a previous title from its developers Ubisoft Montpellier, namely Peter Jackson’s King Kong: The Official Game of the Movie. Not to mention that Montepellier’s overall track record is pretty damn good and includes such games as the original Rayman and Rayman 2, Beyond Good & Evil, Rayman Raving Rabbids, and Rayman Origins. Combine those titles with King Kong and you have a studio with exactly the proven record of making diverse yet interesting game that you would want to help ensure a game like ZombiU is unique and entertaining alike. Check out the latest trailer for the game below and judge their efforts so far for yourselves.

ZombiU is of course a launch title for the Wii U and will arrive alongside the console on November 18 in the US and November 30 in the UK and Europe. Stay tuned to Blistered Thumbs for continuing coverage of the game and be sure to share your thoughts and opinions in the comments section below.

This, along with Mario Bros U, is the reason I want a Wii U.

But I’m still not sure if I should pay full price for a console that will no doubt be heavily discounted by next year… hmmm… decisions, decisions… =/
