Ride for ruin! For glory! For Rohan!

Well, it was bound to happen. We were eventually going to see more noticeable characters in Monolith’s ambitious MOBA game, Guardians of Middle Earth. The console exclusive title now has two more characters to use on the plains of battle: Eowyn the shieldmaiden of Rohan and the berserker Mozgog.

I do like the juxtaposition between the two characters, one going defensive while another is pure offense. We shall see if it translates to results once Guardians of Middle Earth is released this December. To be honest, I am very impressed by Eowyn and her inclusion in this video, a defensive tank that can play as major support for allies will likely make her a favorite among MOBA experts, providing she is balanced properly in-game. Then again, its been so long since I played anything resembling DOTA I might be a tad rusty.

Either way, there are still four characters left to be revealed for Guardians of Middle Earth, so hopefully Monolith doesn’t keep us hanging for long. Guardians of Middle Earth will hit the PSN and XBLA on December 4th, 2012.
