Deadly Premonition Getting a Director’s Cut, 10.0 out of 10 based on 2 ratings

I think that is the reaction everyone has with this news…

Fans of the cult classic Deadly Premonition will be happy to hear a director’s cut is on the way!

Sony owners are finally getting the chance to play as FBI Agent Frank Morgan in this small-town supernatural murder mystery. One of the few modern games to earn cult status so quickly, Deadly Premonition is an unintentionally hysterical throwback that garners a love it or hate it reputation by both critics and fans alike. But that will not stop an HD re-release from gracing the PS3.

Deadly Premonition: The Directors Cut will also be getting a rework from the developers, including an updated control system, DLC content, and a brand new scenario written by the game’s director, Hidetaka “Swery” Suherio. No official release date or price have been named yet.

This isn’t a remake, its more of an expansion than anything else. And why bring up Megaman Legends 3? As Deadly Premonition is greatest non-cancelled game there will ever be, So says Mr. Stewart.

Deadly Premonition isn’t a good game? It offers one of the most unique experiences in gaming. The game oozes style and potential but got hold back by poor production and an outdated gameplay. You disagree that Swery doesn’t deserve a second chance to fix his masterpiece?

And how do you know MML3 was going to be a “good” game? Yes it got cancelled, big fucking-whoop. I’m frankly getting tired of autistic Megaman fans raging and moaning about this, especially on games that have nothing to do with Capcom.

It’s being published in Europe and NA by Rising Star games so it’s okay. It will probably come out in Europe before NA seeing as RSG is based in the UK so we for once get priority,

Technically, the original was in HD, too, on the 360. I know it didn’t look it, but it was HD.

Can’t wait; I don’t have a 360 and I was planning on getting one partially for this game, but seeing as a better version is on the way for PS3, that is super neato. Hopefully they don’t change too much, because it still needs what made it so awkwardly lovable.

Technically, the game was in HD but most of the visuals were designed when it was still meant to be a PlayStation 2 game.

I don’t think they intend to change too much, if theirs anything that needs reworked in Deadly Premonition, its the combat system.

I’m very excited for what Swery65 has in store for the re-release. I love Deadly Premonition, the game is just a beautiful train-wreak, don’t you agree Zach?
