Originally announced as Animal Crossing 3DS, Animal Crossing: A New Leaf has a new trailer which is likely to get fans of the series excited. In this newest entry, you’re not only a citizen of a charming town filled with anthropomorphized animals…you’re the mayor. Now you not only get to customize your house, but the entire town. Of course, if political obligations aren’t your thing, you can put off building a new bridge and go check out new locations or go to a sweet new club and dance your troubles away on the taxpayers’ money.
This game does not have a release date, though it is expected to come out some time next year. Please keep following Blistered Thumbs for all the latest gaming news.

Ladies and gentlemen: DJ K.K.!
Good to finally see some NA recognition of this game. I’m not crazy about the title design, but I like the name; it’s appropriate, since the developers seem to be distancing themselves from the lazy cash-cow approach of the last game.
The returning features from the FIRST game are what have me most excited (kinda sad…), but the new stuff looks truly ground-breaking. This is what an Animal Crossing sequel always should have been. Good to see them finally turning over a new leaf. ^_^
you finally did it game. You killed Ol’ and happy Tortimer.
nah no worry’s, i been following this game for awhile and apperiantly tortimer is now retired, he now stays on that island you can go to and hosts mini-game events ect. so he’s still in the game
just no mayor nomore…
i can’t wait though
my first animal crossing was the DS one my hubby bought it for me back then as a gift, and i remember going “boy this looks stupid” XD ended up playing it for 2-3years strait in my free time
So that old turtle finally pass on? Good riddance, giving me free stuff every holiday, I SEE THROUGH YOUR RUSE OLD MAN!
Uh oh, from watching the Animal Crossing anime I know being the mayor makes you go crazy like ol’ Tortimer.
