We knew long before launch that a number of multiplayer DLC releases were in the offing for Transformers: Fall of Cybertron. The first of those, the Multiplayer Havoc Pack, has already previously arrived and brought with five characters, including a number of series favorites, for use in multiplayer: Perceptor, Ultra Magnus, Blast Off, Wheeljack, and Zeta Prime. The second of these DLC packs, the Dinobot Destructor Pack, is due out today and will allow players to bring a little primal fury to their multiplayer expereince via the addition (what else) the Dinobots to the game’s multiplayer. The final of the currently announced DLC releases is titled the Massive Fury Pack and its brings a wide assormtent of additions to Fall’s multiplayer experience, including The Insecticons, Shockwave, Hound, and G1 skins for Optimus Prime & Megatron. Check out a just released trailer for all of this DLC goodness below.
Not bad. Not bad at all. Now if we can just get some single player DLC down the line to match this multiplayer focused content, then we might really have something. There has to be room for any number of additional stories to be told within the framework of the game’s story after all. And there is nothing like some good single player content to really get a player base revved up and reniterested in your game. Fingers crossed.
Transformers: Fall of Cybertron is in stores now for Xbox 360, PS3, and PC. The official BT review of the game can be found here. Stay tuned to Blistered Thumbs for continuing coverage of the game and be sure to share any thoughts or opinions in the comments section below.

I think that journalistic integrity does require pointing out that all of the TF:FOC DLC is nothing but on-disc unlocks. The downloads are less than 200kb each, for cryin’ out loud.
This is not DLC, it’s PPV.
What else do you expect from Activision? I’m just glad that none of these disk unlocks are actual content like a multiplayer class, a new multiplayer mode, or a section of the story. These are just cosmetic items for if you are willing to pay to make your character look cool, though I do have to say those diabolical bastards are obviously picking the ones we would want the most (insecticons and dinobots) to need a purchase.
I haven’t gotten the game yet, but those definitely strike me as an impressive selection. That said, I think I might go the cost-efficient route and wait for the inevitable “super GOTY all-DLC-included” edition. Worked well with Arkham City.
