Two more fighters join the roster of the fifth entry in Team Ninja’s Dead or Alive series as shown by this picture on Famitsu. While Gen Fu, the lovable old Grandfather who smacks around opponents with his Xinyi Liuhe Quan was shown in trailers, this is the first in-game proof of his inclusion in the game. Pai Chan, a character from the Virtua Fighter series who uses Ensei-Ken, however, while an unexpected character, will be joining her fellow Virtua Fighter compatriots Sarah Bryant and Akira Yuki for Dead or Alive 5.
However, Pai Chan’s inclusion is different from her friends as her fighting style is not duplicated by anyone else on the roster. Akira for instance has the same style as series veteran Kokoro, Ba-Ji-Quan, and Sarah Bryant fights using mixed martial arts, like series newbie, Milla. So, what are your thoughts on these two fighters being included? Please post in the comments below and keep following Blistered Thumbs for all the latest gaming news. Dead or Alive 5 will be out on the 25th and you can expect our review to follow shortly.

Considering there’s no word on Virtua Fighter 6 this may the only alternative.
I was really hoping Aoi Umenokoji would make the cut but since DoA5 announced they currently have no plans to release DLC characters, I’m out of luck. Still, Pai Chan’s awesome in her own right and the fact she has no equal in the DoA series makes her more special than her veteran Virtua Fighter comrades.
I’m glad Pai Chan is in, she’s like the easiest Virtua Fighter character to use lol
