Oddworld is Getting New N’ Tasty!,
British indie developer Just Add Water has some odd news for Oddworld fans. Oddworld: Abe’s Oddysee has some pretty new HD pictures and video to show you, thanks to their sweet reveal at the Eurogamer Expo earlier today. The game also has a new surname, Oddworld: Abe’s Oddysee New N’ Tasty.
The most notable information revealed from the Eurogamer Expo include the new HD look that Abe and his subsequent adventure will have. Some pretty screenshots were provided (although they are all in pre-alpha stage) and some video from the Eurogamer Expo revealed the platformer in action, along with a talk from original Oddworld creator Lorne Lanning and Just Add Water developer Stewart Gilray. From a gameplay standpoint, Gilray discussed how the flip screen scrolling has been removed, replaced with more “subtle camera movements.”
These changes do affect some of the game’s puzzles, although the dev team promises that 80-90% of them will remain unchanged, only updated to fit the new graphical style by Just Add Water. Other additions include a quicksave system and some gameplay improvements, such as some modified puzzles to make them “friendler to gamers.”
Oddworld: Abe’s Oddysee New N’ Tasty will arrive in 2013 on the PC, PS Vita, PSN, and Xbox Live Arcade.

Now, how about Abe’s Exodus, hmmmm?
It looks really good but why don’t they just make a new game with this engine? The pre-rendered graphical style of the originals are such that they doesn’t really need a complete graphical overhaul.
