Late to The Party – Luigi’s Mansion, 10.0 out of 10 based on 1 rating

Yea… Something tells me you are gonna be mad at me.

Welcome to the pilot episode of my new video game review show simply called “Late to The Party.” A show dedicated to those amazing games, old and new! The games that I personally did not play, but wanted to….

In episode one, Smarty goes back to the Gamecube era and looks at one of the most successful launch titles in the Gamecube’s run: Luigi’s Mansion!

So…why would we be mad at you, exactly? Probably half your viewers haven’t played it yet either, shameful as that may be. I certainly haven’t.

Trust me, you’re far from the only one who’s been Late to The Party. After all, how can any person be expected to experience every single gem in an entire medium? It is literally IMPOSSIBLE. I think that’s one reason this show will be very popular: people can relate.

Oh my god I can’t fucking believe this. I have been planning this show for months man. I’ve been writing reviews and filming my first few episodes for a show with this exact same title and theme and you fucking stole it before I could even finish.
I think I might take this to court.

*edit* unfortunately i cant send a private message so ill just post the original thing here.

I imagine you just made an account on here to rant about this. I dont know if you are trolling or not, but listen closely. I’ve had this idea for a while now and I doubt your video and my video would be the same sort of thing. “I was planning something like this” holds absolutely no weight. Just because you had an idea doesn’t mean in any way, shape, or form that I copied you, ripped you off, or plagarized your work. Well… future work that is, seeing as you have not put out a single episode. I know i sort of put you on blast in my youtube comments, and Id like to apologize for that. But know that Just because you had an idea, does not mean you can cry wolf over my video. Your argument holds no weight. End of argument.

Obviously this “idea” you two gentlemen share, ahem, talking about older games, is also the same idea the likes of AVGN and 101% of game reviewers have been doing for years so no need to bicker.

I get that, game reviewing isnt an original idea itself, but saying that “you may take this to court because of the fact that someone did something i was planning to do” is ludicrous.

That would be laughed out of court in a heartbeat and you know it. There’s no grounds for a case here. Maybe if you already had several episodes uploaded and it had gained a suitable amount of followers, maybe, and I mean MAYBE there might be some kind of grounds to base your claim. Otherwise, it’s sheer coincidence and had no malicious intent.

So, onto the video itself. Don’t feel bad, EVERY gamer has a large backlog of games they haven’t played, Luigi’s Mansion being one of mine. I tried renting it from Gamefly…but they no longer carry it. I checked around local game stores…but no one has it. Basically I’ll just have to buy a copy off Amazon if I ever want to see what this game is like. Though now I’m better off just waiting for the sequel.

I was expecting a suburban knights joke. You know, since the Nostalgia Critic tricked everyone into coming to his house by sending out letters saying they won a car.

Thank you I thought the same thing. Of course I mostly cover TV in my Late To The Party. I suppose the internet is big enough for 2 shows called “Late To The Party” But I reserve the right to call my show “Original Late To The Party” lol

To be honest, I never knew of your show from the start. I shall make note of it in the next episode. If there was any mix up, I’d Like to apologize. I’ve watched your series (after writing this comment) and frankly you do a good job when it comes to covering TV shows.

    Hey, you’re not alone.

I never even had a Gamecube. And even on PS2 (which I had and still do) I missed a lot of games. Like Resident Evil 4.

Nice idea for a series. Any plans to expand it to other consoles in the future?
