Katsuhiro Harada…like a boss.

In what can only be another step in his campaign to win the title of “Most Awesome Guy in the Gaming Industry 2012,” Tekken producer Katsuhiro Harada has proposed the localization of Project X Zone, the upcoming 3DS title that pits together characters from Capcom, Sega, and Namco Bandai games in a turn-based, SRPG. Since Bandai Namco has the publishing rights to the game, they would make the final decision over localizing the game or not. Considering that crossover games like this rarely make it overseas, this could be a rather large milestone if it actually happened. While you consider your thoughts and stop doing your dances of joy, here is a trailer for the game.

So, what do you think, does Harada have enough sway to get the localization to occur? If the game is localized, will it do well enough to warrant more releases like it? Share your thoughts in the comments below and keep following blistered thumbs for all the latest gaming news.

It looks like so much fun. So of-course they are not going to localize it.

Is it in poor taste to point out mistakes in the english subtitles from that linked video?

Anyway, I heard about this on 4chan already, but I am still optimistic. You can do it, Harada-san! The whole english-speaking fandom will be grateful to you.

This guy is my hero now. I don’t even really like fighting games but I feel compelled to buy his stuff now just out of gratitude.

But yes, I do think this game would warrant the effort. It is on the 3DS which considering the DS was like the RPG holy ground last generation I’d say it would do well enough. Also, if Cathrine taught us anything, niche games can sell fairly well if given even the smallest bit of coverage by the mainstream gaming sites.

I really hope this comes out in English. Maybe then we’ll have a chance for more of the Super Robot Taisen games and maybe even Heroes Phantasia, an anime crossover game that features characters from the following: Blood+, Read or Die, My-HiME, s-CRY-ed, Darker Than Black, Slayers Revolution, Sorcerous Stabber Orphen, Rune Soldier Louie, and Sgt. Frog

Project X Zone will probably be the only reason, aside from SMT games and KH3D, that will make me get a 3DS. I pray to god this game gets localized, because it needs to be!

Maybe this game will have a slightly better chance of being localized than Namco x Capcom did. If it does, maybe I’ll consider buying a 3DS.

I hope so. This is the sort of game I’d love to see more of, and would be happy to say so with my wallet.

The only issue I think is licensing will all the different characters some from games that never came to the states and if the companies think it would sell well enough to be worth the effort.

Fortunately all games in Project X Zone belong to only three companies – Sega, Namco or Capcom. Coordinating the licensing should be easy.

It’s not that it’s only 3 companies it’s if one of them doesn’t think it will sell well and says no.
