ChaosD1

An avid MMO player (not expert. There's a difference) Jon "ChaosD1" Burkhardt is best known for MMO Grinder... Unless you're from TGWTG in which he's that guy who drinks Mountain Dew, collects Jigglypuff items and shows up to scream how things don't work that way in Phelous's videos.

As nice as this looks, I’ll be going for Planetside 2 over Firefall. P2 looks to have a far more solid combat experience than Firefall does.

I just wise they stop calling it the first true mmofps.
Yes current most so called mmofps are just small with a lobby, planetside was a real mmofps.

There are more pve missions in firefall then one thinks, the problem is finding them, like it just tells you to go to next city, but it didnt tell where the city is.
I found that most PvE content ppl did was call an thumper and kill bugs to lvl. That is just grinding and not playing a game.

Let’s also not forget Global Agenda, and to some extent, Tabula Rasa.

I think the lacking in PvE content is that there’s so much world, with so little point right now. I spent one time carefully using my jumpjets to scale a massive mountain near the ocean, only to find a group of tents near the top with NOTHING near them. No enemies. No NPCs. Just tents.

However it’s scenes like that that make me think they do have plans to fill this world. (And from what many have told me, they do.) With the right pacing and population this could really be something. I’ve also heard of them planning to implement a dynamic event system like in Guild Wars 2. Of course a full reliance on that system might prove detrimental, but I’d get into that if I decided to do something about GW2.

What bugs me most is the “instant death” that occurs when you fall into water. You’re building your mining operation on the coast of Brazil, have access to high-end technology, and no one bothered to install a breathing apparatus or flotation device in these battleframes. “Well, I guess they just will have to not fall in the water… which is everywhere.”
It’s surprisingly easy to do on accident.

Ah, finally got to Firefall, eh? I’m not a big fan of the PvP stuff (I play Tribes Ascend for that.), so I got bored with the current things available for PvE.

Luckily, I’ll have Guild Wars 2 to tide me over until more PvE content is made available.
