Well, after angering fans of the beloved Brothers in Arms franchise by merely existing, Brother’s in Arms: Furious 4 will be changed into a new IP. At PAX yesterday, Randy Pitchford admitted that the original idea for the game, which had four men with distinct abilities tracking down Hitler during WWII, didn’t fit with the Brothers in Arms franchise and had evolved into a new game that would be revealed on September 15th. The last time we heard about Furious 4, it was Pitchford telling us the game would be released in 2013. This still means that we’re over four years without a new Brother’s in Arms game (the last one being Hell’s Highway in 2008) but at least this game has a chance to… shine all on its own. Let’s remember what the original concept for the game was, shall we?
So, what are your thoughts? Has Gearbox trailed this game along for too long, or is this something you still might want to play? Blistered Thumbs will bring you details on the 15th about the changes to this game, so be sure to keep following us.

Shine on its own? Nope.avi
I’m happy that it’s no longer attached to the BiA franchise. The original concept didn’t look appealing to me at all, and it didn’t need to part of the franchise.
I won’t be playing this, but I’m sure there will be plenty of others who will.
