Aliens: Colonial Marines is Skipping the Wii U
Isn’t it a bit late to worry about Quality Control?

This past PAX weekend may have come and gone without any huge announcements, but it did bring one small moral victory. Gearbox Software president Randy Pitchford has confirmed that Aliens: Colonial Marines will include female marines. “I want everybody to be clear that there are playable females in both the multiplayer and the campaign,” he said. “We realized some people were starting to feel bad. We exist to entertain people.”
In case you are wondering why this is a big deal, allow me to explain. See, it was originally discovered that all marines would have male characters models in the game’s multiplayer, presumably to save time and resources. However, fans of the Alien franchise soon took to the internet to point out how incongruous this was with the IP as a whole. The entire series is rife with motherhood symbolism, and most of the main characters (Ripley, Newt, Vasquez) are women. To remind everyone how awesome female marines are, let’s take a moment to appreciate this clip from Aliens:
Aliens: Colonial Marines will hit shelves on February 12, 2013 for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC. A Wii U version is reportedly in development.

Oh dear. Oh dear indeed.
Probably the best worst game I’ve played in years.
This ain’t happening, man… This can’t be happening, man! This isn’t happening!
‘What the hell happened to Aliens: Colonial Marines?’ indeed.
Nuke the entire site from orbit. It’s the only way to be sure.
Gameplay? Nope! Multiplayer information? Nope! Unadulterated awesomeness? HOO-RAH!

Get ready for the bug hunt.

“My mommy always said there were no monsters – no real ones – but there are.”

I don’t think I could have picked a better opening quote to start this review of Aliens: Colonial Marines off with. We have waited years for this game and in today’s RAD we get right down to it with a man who loves the Alien franchise as much as he loves video games. The stage is set for this game with its creditability as the official canonical sequel to Aliens and a developer who created Borderlands… what could possibly go wrong?
Birdman sets down on LV-426 on company orders to go find out whats going on… What happens to Birdman when all is said and done? We will leave you with this quote and let you decide where this all ends..
“You better just start dealing with it, Hudson! Listen to me! Hudson, just deal with it, because we need you and I’m sick of your bullshit.”
-Ellen Ripley

Everyone is hating on this game
It deserves it.Had a quick go at it at mates house last night…i was laughing AT the chronic gameplay and horrendous A.I but at the same time felt sorry for my friend who paid full price for this bunch of binary bolderdash.
This is the only time I can think of a game that literally broke my heart
I’ve had relationships that have hurt less then this utter betrayal
Can’t think of a game that totally took advantage of a franchise like this
It’s damned fan fiction…
Man Sorry Birdman I feel with you i Still cant believe that they fucked up Aliens I mean Hows that even possible.. Well looking forward to MG Rising .
Probably the best worst game I’ve played in years.

Welcome back to the discussion show where we introduce the debate and you continue it. This week’s topic: Shaun and Johnny Maloney discuss the past & future of Star Wars video games.
Now everyone has the opportunity to gun down/get brutally murdered by xenomorphs. That’s what I call equality at its finest.
Also there’s the female Marines in the AvP games. You don’t have to be a feminist to know that women are equally delicious Alien food.
Some aliens may even prefer them. >;D
You know, because they carry different chromosomes for developing alien mutations.
“I’d pay for Ripley DLC.” Please, don’t give them ideas. If they were cool they’d have her in from the start as an unlockable easter egg.
