Welcome back to the discussion show where we introduce the debate and you continue it. This week’s topic: Shaun and Johnny Maloney discuss the past & future of Star Wars video games.
A fried of mine got me to start watching Doctor Who (the new series, not the old). It’s pretty good, but the episodes are very uneven. Some are just plain stupid. I was not a fan of the 10th Doctor; his moralizing got on my nerves fast.
I don’t know how, but mid-sentence I predicted Austin was going to say he was watching Avatar. Good on you, Amazing show, one of my absolute favorites.

I have no real interest in playing ‘Seduce Me’ and you guys are completely correct when you say Valve can take whatever they want off of their game distribution service. It just seems strange that I can easily find screen-shots of nude-mods around the Steam community (I’m not the sort to openly attempt to find those), yet nobody seems to care about that. I’m also baffled the same community that gets up in arms whenever anybody attacks Grand Theft Auto’s implementation of hookers or DOA in general was so ‘appalled’ that somebody tried to make a game that featured two human beings having sex. What appalling filth indeed, I’ll stick beating up hookers, while senselessly driving over random civilians in the street.
And it just so happened that today you are featured on the TGWTG homepage, and not even last!
Oh yeah, just recently played through Baldur’s Gate 2 and Throne of Bhaal for the first time. Dunno why I never managed to get “into” it enough to play all the way through before, even though I always knew it was great. Maybe I was just being a stupid kid.
But it’s really friggin awesome how the character and story come together in the end.
Also, Baldur’s Gate 2 may just have the greatest villain in all of gaming ever with Jon Irenicus.
David Warner’s amazing voice acting really brought that role to life; he did a fantastic job.

Unfortunately, they’re plodding along at a pretty slow pace. The only gameplay available right now is the opening dungeon. A preview video of the next module is available, but at this rate, we might see it complete by 2024.
You’re so right about Irenicus, though. One of the deepest villains ever.
Sorry but I don’t think “artistic vision” or “creative ideas” apply when you are making a game called “Seduce Me”
If they want to make porn games that’s fine but don’t be surprised when you get rejected by the big stores/digital distributors.
Interesting to hear your thoughts on the “Seduce Me” thing and Greenlight. I’ll admit I’m pretty curious about this game, though it seems more like a dating sim than your traditional eroge (yes, there’s a difference, believe it or not). I’ll give it a look when it’s released in November. Interestingly, Mangagamer is trying to get two of its all ages games Greenlit (both of them good ones): Go Go Nippon! and Higurashi no Naku koro ni.

To give you the correct pronunciation, “eroge” is pronounced “arrow-gay”; it’s basically the Japanese abbreviation for “erotic game”.
