Among the glut of Sony trailers released during this year’s E3 was an innocuous video for a casual PS Vita title called SunFlowers. I had forgotten about it since then, but when a new trailer popped up this morning I felt compelled to share it with you. The Vita needs all the help it can get.
We all know that a cute casual game involving plants can work, but I can still hear your cynicism from here. Sure, it’s not the next AAA blockbuster, but this actually looks like something I could see myself playing in a doctor’s office. Do you think there’s a market for this type of title on Sony’s handheld, or should The Game Atelier have stuck to mobile devices? Let me know what you think in the comments below.
SunFlowers will arrive “this Fall” on the PSN.

This seems like a no-brainer iPAd game, but kind of baffling as a Vita title.
I hope they’ll put this on the E-Shop one day since I probably wont get a Vita.
The target audience for this probably only owns a smartphone, so why would they carry around two things, a vita and a phone, when they could just use their phone? When people get on Sony to release more Vita software they’re not talking about stuff like this.
For some reason I love the facial expressions in this game. Just look at the sun in the left picture! lol
Seems like a novelty of a game, though. Like a game you’d see on iOS devices rather than next-gen handheld consoles, you know? Guess I can’t really fault it for that if it’s only =<$5 or so, though.
Cuteness injection?
I thought they meant a Japanese moe simulator…
Oh well…
