Look goods. I am sure we will know soon if its coming States…. Hah. Sorry. Couldn't say that with a straight face.

You know I almost feel bad showing all of you BT readers this trailer. After all the original Tales of Xillia was only just a few weeks ago confirmed for release in North America and Europe/UK sometime in 2013 and this was a game released in Japan in 2011. So who know how long it will be before Tales of Xillia 2 gets confirmed for release outside of Japan, assuming of course it ever does. Still, hope blooms eternal and all that, so why not go ahead and check out the trailer for the game below:

Not much is known about Tales of Xillia 2 beyond that it will take place in the same world as the first Xillia game and will see at least some characters from the first game return, although the game will be centered around a new protagonist. The game will feature character designs from Daigo Okumura, which marks an unusual choice for a mainline Tales game since they generally make use of either Kousuke Fujishima or Mutsumi Inomata for such work. The game is currently set for release on November 1 in Japan and yeah you wish in North America and Europe. Stay tuned to Blistered Thumbs for continuing coverage of the game and be sure to share your wails and gnashing of teeth…. Errr, that is your thoughts and opinions in the comments section below.

I’ve gotten my hopes up for games with a longer shot at localization so I’ll keep my fingers crossed for this. Of course I need to play the first game to get really excited for the second one

Wow, we haven’t even got one yet and they’re already releasing 2 in Japan? Well maybe if we’re lucky, one and two will be released at the same time in the west.

blissful torture. It’s not as painful as being a Capcom fan, but…yeah the waiting and hoping this will even receive a Stateside release before the dawn of a new moon is torture.

Yes. Both Alvin and Leia have been confirmed as returning in Xillia 2 as playable characters with an important role in the main story.

Man I really wish Namco was better about localizing their damn games. It’s always a 50/50 chance of them coming over, it really sucks.

Yeah I was just thinking about that while watching this trailer. I won’t pretend to know the sales records for the Tales of series in the west, but I imagine they’re good enough to see more from the series.
