Ever since Amnesia: The Dark Descent raised the bar for the horror genre, I’ve been waiting patiently for another PC title to come along and deliver a similar experience. So far nothing has come close, but two interesting first-person horror games are coming to PC soon, so let’s take a look at them.

The first is Dementium II, a port of a DS release that has been essentially remade for PC. It is currently slated for a release “this Fall.”

Next we have “Anna,” an Italian point-and-click experiment that is making its way into English. As you can see from the video below, the tranlation isn’t perfect, but it’s the atmosphere and gameplay that count. You can play the game right now, but a version with soundtrack and art will be coming on September 21st, 2012 for PC and Mac. It will retail for $10.

What do you think of these games? I am glad that 7sixty and Kalypso, respectively, are publishing them for us, but neither jump out to me as true contenders for the first-person horror crown. Let us know how you feel in the comments below.

Anna looks very cool if it really works as advertised. A game that observes how you play and will actively mess with you as a result? That’s awesome.
