"Excuse me, sir. Which way to the tanning parlor?"

The first day of Quakecon has come to a close. Rise of the Triad‘s return may have been the biggest individual story, but it’s far from the only thing id Software has in the pipeline. Check out some footage for the upcoming compilation of some of the most influential games of all time:

While this release was originally most notable for allowing you to dual-wield a weapon and a flashlight, the stakes appear to have been raised. DOOM 3: BFG Edition includes Doom, Doom II, Doom 3, and Doom 3: Resurrection of Evil, as well as eight all-new terrifying levels entitled “The Lost Mission”. That’s a lot of doom. In fact, I think I’m gonna sing the Doom Song now.

Doom 3: BFG Edition will be released on October 16th, 2012 for PC, PS3, and Xbox 360.

Again, isn’t this suppose to be like the HD version of Doom 3 with some missions and whatnot added to it? Then why does it look even worse then how i remembered it?
Or maybe they just played it with a low resolution cause of the intense graphics…
I’m getting less and less interested in Doom 3 BFG and i loved Doom 3 when it first got released.
