Cats, TV games, and a flipping good time are just some of what awaits you in this week’s edition of your best source (that’s our story and we’re sticking to it) for free gaming on the net.
We start things off this week with a game that apparently drew equal parts inspiration from Portal and VVVVVV for its gameplay. As one might imagine with games like that acting as idea generators, the game is as tricky and difficult to beat as it is enjoyable to play. This game will kick your ass repeatedly but chances are you will be having too much fun to care.

Did everyone know that last Wednesday, August 8th, was, in addition to my birthday, also World Cat Day? Well I did and since I have been a major league cat lover as far back as I can remember, I thought it would be appropriate to have a belated celebration of the event with a couple of cat games.

Our second cat game of the week comes from the same minds that brought us the Reemus series, a fact which alone should be enough to tell you what a treat you are in for. If not, then the fact that it features an anthropomorphic feline living on a space station who must eventually travel to a clearly fantasy inspired world in an adventure that feels like one part Space Quest and one part King’s Quest should do the job. Happy World Cat Day everyone.

Next up we have a simple but novel take on a FPS. Sort of. I mean nominally it is set from the first-person perspective and you do indeed shoot things but… Well best you just play this would-be experimental game for yourself and find out directly.

A word of warning: our following title, a chose-your-own-adventure style interactive animation that was clearly inspired by a certain famous Dr. Seuss work often given to those who have just graduated, is very much NSFW. It is also funny as hell thanks in no small part to the fantastic voice work of the one and only Egoraptor himself.
