Do not worry, you can still 'play' this Bundle. Just in a slightly different way than before.

The next Humble Bundle has arrived but this time it’s all about the tunes instead of the games. Which is not to say the Humble Music Bundle is completely gaming unrelated, as the below full listing of the albums currently involves proves. It’s just that players who have come to expect games to come with their bundles of an unpretentious nature might be a little bit taken aback. So brace yourselves and read on for the newest Humble Bundle has to offer.

First up, we have Jonathan Coulton’s Greatest Hit (Plus 13 Other Songs). Coulton, for those of you living under a rock, is of course the brilliant mind that brought us the classic Portal tunes “Still Alive” and “Want You Gone” among many other great tunes. The album’s official description follows:

Jonathan Coulton’s Greatest Hit (Plus 13 Other Songs)
Jonathan Coulton
It’s hard to pick the 14 best songs from Jonathan Coulton’s catalog because, really, they are all the best. But this collection has many of the favorites you know, along with a few you probably don’t, including tracks from his latest album, Artificial Heart, and three brand new live tracks from his recent Artificial Heart tour. Which is his greatest hit? Only you can decide!

Next is the album that I know will be the reason at least some of you end up buying this bundle, namely the Best of the Valkyria Chronicles. This compilation album features tunes from all three games in the series and is a must own for any true fan of video soundtracks.

Best of the Valkyria Chronicles
Hitoshi Sakimoto
Rediscover your memories from the acclaimed Valkyria Chronicles series with this compilation featuring the best music from all 3 games. From composer Hitoshi Sakimoto (Final Fantasy XII, Tactics Ogre, Final Fantasy Tactics), experience the orchestrated melodies of the main themes, the adrenaline-pumping battle pieces and reminisce on the adventures from all the characters in Gallia.

Chances are very good that even if you have not heard of Christopher Tin, you have least heard Christopher Tin. This is the man responsible for the only video game track to ever win a Grammy and believe me he lives up to it. I am a big fan of this man’s work.

Calling All Dawns
Christopher Tin
Christopher Tin’s debut album Calling All Dawns redefines the phrase “epic musical journey”. It won two GRAMMY awards, including the only GRAMMY ever to be given for a video game song (for Baba Yetu, the theme from Civilization IV). Sung in 12 different languages, the album explores the cycle of life, death, and rebirth as told through the poems and prayers of different cultures around the world.

The next album in the Humble Music Bundle is They Might Giants. Love ‘em or hate ‘em, do I really need to say anything else? I did not think so.

Album Raises New and Troubling Questions
They Might Be Giants
A rarities collection of songs recorded during the band’s sessions for their most recent full length album Join Us.

Admittedly, neither the previous album in the Bundle or this one from MC Frontalot have much either directly or indirectly to do with gaming. How much this matters is of course totally up to you.

Favoritism
MC Frontalot
A digital box set of Frontalot’s choicest cuts, curated by the MC himself. Thrill along to top hits and unearthed treasures! Devour 6,000 words of wildly revelatory and/or self-indulgent liner notes! Spanning seven years and five albums, Favoritism is the first true document of the risen era of nerdcore hip-hop.

Finally, for those of you prepared to spend more than the current average that the Humble Music Bundle is going for (as of this writing said average currently rests at $7.88), a bonus album from the masters of modern day music videos OK GO awaits.

Twelve Remixes of Four Songs
OK GO
Twelve Remixes of Four Songs — a collection of remixes of some of the best songs from 2010′s Of the Blue Colour of the Sky along with studio versions of those tracks.

The Humble Music Bundle will be available through August 9 and, judging from past Humble Bundles at least, will likely pick up some additional tunes between now and then before all is said and done. Stay tuned to Blistered Thumbs for continuing coverage of all Bundle related news and be sure to share your thoughts and opinions in the comments section below.
