The next Humble Bundle has arrived but this time it’s all about the tunes instead of the games. Which is not to say the Humble Music Bundle is completely gaming unrelated, as the below full listing of the albums currently involves proves. It’s just that players who have come to expect games to come with their bundles of an unpretentious nature might be a little bit taken aback. So brace yourselves and read on for the newest Humble Bundle has to offer.
First up, we have Jonathan Coulton’s Greatest Hit (Plus 13 Other Songs). Coulton, for those of you living under a rock, is of course the brilliant mind that brought us the classic Portal tunes “Still Alive” and “Want You Gone” among many other great tunes. The album’s official description follows:

Next is the album that I know will be the reason at least some of you end up buying this bundle, namely the Best of the Valkyria Chronicles. This compilation album features tunes from all three games in the series and is a must own for any true fan of video soundtracks.
Hitoshi Sakimoto
Chances are very good that even if you have not heard of Christopher Tin, you have least heard Christopher Tin. This is the man responsible for the only video game track to ever win a Grammy and believe me he lives up to it. I am a big fan of this man’s work.

The next album in the Humble Music Bundle is They Might Giants. Love ‘em or hate ‘em, do I really need to say anything else? I did not think so.
They Might Be Giants
Admittedly, neither the previous album in the Bundle or this one from MC Frontalot have much either directly or indirectly to do with gaming. How much this matters is of course totally up to you.

Finally, for those of you prepared to spend more than the current average that the Humble Music Bundle is going for (as of this writing said average currently rests at $7.88), a bonus album from the masters of modern day music videos OK GO awaits.

The Humble Music Bundle will be available through August 9 and, judging from past Humble Bundles at least, will likely pick up some additional tunes between now and then before all is said and done. Stay tuned to Blistered Thumbs for continuing coverage of all Bundle related news and be sure to share your thoughts and opinions in the comments section below.
