    Nice commentary!

It’s been a while that I’ve seen one of Lee’s videos and after having seen the video and catched up with his background I know why… :(

    Topic:
Well, as for the people who actually bought the game (or even a 360 for this game alone) due to the review back then:
I don’t think that they’ve regret it, even after the enhanced PS3-version…
It was -unfortunately- never released in the west, so this version of the game is still relevant and worth being played by every rpg-fan. More so if one is not blessed with the ability of being absolutely fluent in Japanese! ^_^!

It also makes me realise how much I would have loved to play Vesperia on the PS3, especially now that “Tales of Graces f” will -finally- be released in Europe in a few weeks and “Xillia” will probably also see a release in the west…
It may be a four year old game, but *imo* it’s still one of the best of rpgs the current generation and I’d would still be happy if Namco Bandai should ever decide to release it over here! ;)

    And to Lee:
Ich wünsche Dir alles Gute & Gute Besserung!

I’m sorry, I respectfully disagree with your judgement of PS1 having the best RPGs. Persona 3 and Persona 4 were both on the PS2, as well as Tales of the Abyss, and all of the other games mentioned before me. Um…except Tales of Legendia. Seriously not a fan of Legendia.

I’m totally with you on the Personas, 4 being my favorite game of all time, but I think it’s hard to deny the BREADTH of QUALITY RPGs on the PS1. It’s library was absolutely loaded: The dozens of SquareSoft RPGs, Legend of Dragoon, Wild Arms, Breath of Fire, etc.

Although PS2 was pretty loaded in its own right with Level 5 titles, the Personas, more Square games, Suikoden.

Okay, let’s just call it a tie =)

Remember this name, Gouda Tsutomu, he’s the one who ordered Vesperia must go to 360 so that Foreigners(AKA American) will buy it.
He didn’t made the PS3 version though.

Yeah, pretty much agree. I don’t think he played many PS2 era RPGS. Maybe just the Final Fantasys, in which case his comment makes sense.

But man, so many good RPGs. Besides Nocturn and the Persona games we had the Shadow Hearts games, Digital Devil Saga, Wild Arms, Steambot Chronicles, Tales of the Abyss and Legendia, The Xenosaga series, the Devil Summoner series, Disgea, Suikoden series, Dark Cloud series, Valkyrie Profile 2, Dragon Quest VIII, Metal Saga and Final Fantasy XII!
(Yes I did have to get up and go look at my PS2 shelf for some of these. XP)
So many! Of course there’s a lot of great PS1 games too including precursors to allot of the games mentioned above.

I need to play Vesperia again too. Haven’t beaten it yet.

        Dont forget the .Hack series
I cant believe i expect more Hd collections and psn releases than most actual games on the Ps3
