And now we are going to start a mini-tribute of sorts to SFB Games. Yesterday I posted a piece on the Kickstarter for their upcoming title Detective Grimoire (which is now up to $20,109 of their needed $25,000) and I thought I would go ahead and highlight some of the other games they have previously created. Starting with this wonderful little slice of gaming that places players in the role of a ghost attempt to scare noisy party guests out from his one peaceful home. You will have to posses a variety of objects and keep the pressure on to drive the people out but be careful not to overdo it or else you could end up with a whole mess of new spooks crowding up your formerly roomy abode.

Here is an interesting tidbit: the upcoming Detective Grimoire game is actually not the first appearance of the character. No that would the 2007 title of the same name. While the art style for this one might be very different (and admittedly rather inferior to the upcoming title as you shall see), the engaging gameplay and clever writing is still present. So check out to see where it all began and, thanks to this game being cannon with the upcoming title, get a hint of what is to come.

I think one thing that continues to impress me the most about SFB Games is the sheer variety of genres they have chosen to work in. Already we have highlighted a puzzle-style action game and classic point-and-click adventure title and now its time to showcase yet another type of game from them: a simple but engaging arena-based four player survival game with a lovely art style. Enjoy.

Our next game technically only features art from SFB Games and instead was coded by someone outside the studio. Still this is isometric puzzle adventure game is such a fun riff on The Lost Vikings formula that I could not help but included it.

MUST PLAY OF THE WEEK!
You have played the prototype, now take a gander at the real deal with this demo of Detective Grimoire’s grand return to the gaming scene. Featuring full voice acting, gorgeous hand drawn graphics, and some brilliant gameplay, if this small slice of the larger game does not get you wanting to contribute the four dollars to the Kickstarter needed to secure a copy of the full game, nothing will. There are only three days to go, so lets make sure this game can fully come to fruition.
