Vile’s return, cider producing competitions, and decisions amidst the ZOMBIEPOCALYPSE are just some of what awaits you in this week’s edition of your best source (that’s our story and we’re sticking to it) for free gaming on the net.
We start things off this week with the latest addition to the ever growing library of Adult Swim games. This particular example is an enjoyable little twist on the classic beat-em-up formula. Guard the wall from incoming would be escapees across 20 rounds in order to survive long enough to face… the Boss.

Some months back this column featured an adventure game by the name of Never Alone Hotline staring a woman by the name of Severine. Well now Severine is back in a new title that takes a rather different tact from its predecessor but still manages to be highly enjoyable all the same. Forget fighting on the street, everyone knows love is the real battlefield, in which case the ultimate battle must be centered around love gone wrong. Can you survive your breakup with your friendships intact and reach the best of the game’s three endings?

This next title is a puzzle platformer whose gameplay is a clever as its story is odd. Is this a deep and meaningful rumination of the purpose of life and death in the greater human experience… Or just a nutty little romp with a whole lot smart sounding quotes thrown in for good measure? Do not look to me for answers regarding this one folks, you will simply have to play it for yourselves and find out.

Oh indie game developers, will you ever run out of unusual game concepts to surprise and amuse me with? God I hope not and not just because this would be an awfully dull column going forward. After all, where else but on the indie gaming scene would you find a game that places the camera firmly in the mouth of a diner about chow down? Well maybe a Wario Ware game, but you all get what I mean.

Do not let the image for this one fool you folks. Chunkadelic is actually a nine-game collection meant to serve as a lover letter to a wide range of retro games. The challenge level can vary wildly from game to game but the quality level is rock solid across the board.
