Summer of arcade 2012
All right folks, the schedule for this year’s Xbox Live’s Summer of Arcade has been revealed. Last year brought us several good games, including the indie-darling Bastion, so expectations are high for this year’s offerings. Before we reveal the schedule, lets go through the games briefly. Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater HD is a remake of the classic skate-boarding game with improved controls and visuals, Wreckateer is a castle destruction game for the Kinect that had a groan-worthy E3 showing but a potentially fun mechanic, Deadlight is a 2-D survival horror game that has you wandering a zombie-infested city, Hybrid is a new third-person shooter by Microsoft that is heavily focused on Multiplayer, and Dust: An Elysian Tail is a sword slashing beat-em-up where you play a wandering swordsman wandering a beautiful world. The schedule for these games’ release dates and prices are as follows:
July 18 Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater HD 1200 pts
July 25 Wreckateer 800 pts
August 1 Deadlight 1200 pts
August 8 Hybrid 1200 pts
August 15 Dust: An Elysian Tail 1200 pts
Buying all these games will net you 400 Micrososoft points.

Shame the only game I’m interested in that list is 1200 msp. I wish Microsoft would just abandon the point system and do what Sony does, use real life currency. Having to buy a 1000 pack than a 500 pack is not fun.
