I understand what you’re saying about Wendee Lee, but they did an interview with Crispin Freeman some years ago, and he revealed that American voice actors don’t make very much money at all. The ones that do make a living out of it are taking almost every role that comes their way. So the reality is that there’s just way too much competition, and newer people struggling in the industry are probably better off doing something else.
Despite the return of Toonami, (which I honestly think will be short lived) Anime is on it’s last legs, even in it’s home country of Japan. Animators in particular make like 3$ an hour and are not only overworked but they are not paid for overtime (despite industry regulations about minimum wage laws). Also Governor Ishihara has been making just working in the industry of Anime and Manga a living hell.

Don’t overdue yourself Lee, we need you to keep on gaming. We miss you man. Must be hard to get well. What kind of illness that’s stopping you from doing more gaming?

You know Lee if you had trouble coming back to doing videos for Soul Calibur IV due to being gone awhile, imagine what you’ll be like when you finally start Still Gamin Season 4. Still though entertaining commentary even if you did never explain what the beginning was really a parody of, or how many new games you reviewed in series 3. I guess I could go back and count it but that’s you know work so…..

Could a Soul Calibur player answer one question for me? Does this series have a sense of humor or is it all serious? I only have Soul Calibur 2 for Gamecube that I hardly play because I suck at fighting games.
There isn’t a massive amount of comedy (except for in the psp game) but it does have a sense of humour. Look up Dampierre, he is there as SC’s gag character.
Lee still makes videos?
If you check the two short links at the very end of the commentary, it helps to explain that he’s been having a lot of health issues. While it looks like things are getting better, his recovery has been long-term. Yes, he still wants to make videos, but he’s had to focus on getting better first.
Ah, I’m sorry to hear. I hope Lee still games, and continues to still game.
