You guys do know that “sniping people, doing target reticles and throwing people off ledges” was already featured in Splinter Cell: Conviction, the prequel to Splinter Cell Blacklist that came out in 2010, before Batman Arkham City, right?
As for Wreckateer (the castle shooting game), I think that game is meant for children. Judging from the presentation, the gameplay, the characters and the look, it looks like something kids could enjoy.
Nice recap guys. I guess my impression after going back, and watching some of the footage is that they missed an opportunity on Windows 8. I know E3 means console vendors are supposed to focus on well, CONSOLES. But that said, they really could have talked a bit more about what Win 8 means for gamers seeing how little they had in the way of 360 releases coming out outside of multiplatform titles.
They did talk about the Glass feature so at least they acknowledged how you could involve your PC further into your Xbox experience, and now tablets too.
As for the rest of it I agree it was an average showing,
but I wasn’t expecting much anyway. They’re likely focusing on getting a new system out behind the scenes, and obviously want to have all of the mindblowing stuff on that.
I’ll be watching your Nintendo impressions later as again I’m working, and will be forced to miss it.
Love your E3 recaps. Saves me so much time
True True, A hell of alot better than last year, it was hit and miss. Good job pointing it out, cause I was heckeling through the whole thing. I hope you’ll cover EA’s conference which was pretty bad lol.
Why was this on earlier but removed and split into 3 parts?
More on the topic of what was said…
I don’t think that was Clare in RE6. I swear he said Elena. *Looks* There is a Helena in RE6…
But really, what I saw was not any indication that RE6 backed away from the shootfest that was RE5. Though I will give it the benefit of the doubt, As they were probably going for the most exciting scene. I just hope that there is no such thing as LEVELS in RE6. That kind of ruined RE5 the most for me.
Though I admit the new CoD has caught my interest. Not enough to buy on release, but the sci-fi aspects really helped (the story was 80′s schlock, but that’s CoD for you). Also, are you a bad enough dude to save the president?
But I’m not sure why people cheer for all those games. It’s like, “Wooo! Most of these games… are on other systems… maybe Wii U Which is going to be better… and why is hitting me up for more money Day 1 a selling point?”
