Man, that was actually an enjoyable list. Good work. :) I really like your vids, but on occasion you guys shell out the heavily debatable and often crap videos or reviews, like Resident evil ORC, or your Top Ten Most Annoying Characters (Which I’ll admit was LAME), but this video was really entertaining and agreeable.

I can’t wait to see a best Movie Licensed games list. Titles I hope to see are things like Scarface (Which is one of the best GTA clones next to Jak 2. I highly recommend it), Riddick, most Star Wars games (Battlefront for me personally), Kung Fu Panda, Goldeneye (Probably will be #1 because of how common it’s given that spot), Spiderman 2, Peter Jackson’s King Kong, The Incredible Hulk (Probably the best Marvel Hero game next to X-Men Wolverine), AVP 3 (Even though it has nothing to do with the movies, thank God), The Warriors (fight Club done right and just an awesome game), LOTR: Battle For Middle Earth II, and debatably The Thing(A good game to some like myself, and horrible of an experience to others like Spoony).

I’m also SHOCKED that Starship Troopers, Superman Returns, Saw, or even Waterworld wasn’t on this list. Still, like I said, it was a good list and it helps make up for the last one, with the only thing I disagree on being the Enter The Matrix game. I kind of liked playing that. Also I don’t recall Reservoir Dogs being that bad of a game… or that good of a movie… sorry, I’m not the biggest Tarantino fan.

Thanks dude, I must confess I’ve not been too impressed with some of the quality of my recent work, but it’s nearly entirely attributed to ill health. It’s taken me months to shake off this flu thing, no idea what it is. But I am grateful you stuck with us all this time dude, that really means a lot to me!

Battlefront, Star Wars Arcade on the 32X and Super Star Wars on the SNES are my favourite Star Wars games personally, I’ve actually got the head producer of The Thing on my XBL friends list, Mike Readdy :D I only played the Wii Scarface and the controls were screwed up on it.

I quite enjoyed Saw, in a linear Silent Hill without monsters type way. one of the movies I should have put on the list is Big Trouble in Little China. Terrible Kung Fu Master rip off.

There are some good licensed games. Riddick escape from dark athena was great and Wanted: Weapons of Fate was pretty decent.

Riddick is definetely going on our list for “best” when we make that. But not played Wanted, actually I’m not even sure if it released here :S

I definitely wouldn’t have put Enter the Matrix toward the top of the list, as it was at least playable. Its main flaw is that it had the Metal Gear Solid 2 twist: you play as the forgettable characters.

Also, Street Fighter: the Movie: the Game, actually wasn’t that bad. It just had a really goofy presentation. It was still playable, though. It was basically Street Fighter 2 with stupid graphics.

I was very happy to see Charlie’s Angels on this list, though. Oh man, that game is gloriously bad. And after all of those PS2/GCN-era games, I really should kick myself for forgetting about ET. :-P

Street Fighter The Movie The Game was better than the arcade original, it was a little more polished. but it was far more clunky feeling than Mortal Kombat Etc. and when you’re a rip off of a rip off, then that isn’t good news.

Except for Goldeneye for the N64. Also, I hear that the Riddick game for the XBox was quite good.

As with every rule there are exceptions. You can find more than a few good movie licensed games. The Chronicles of Riddick:Escape from Butcher Bay and Assault on Dark Athena, Goldeneye, Ghostbusters:The Video Game, X-Men Origins: Wolverine, Blade Runner, many Star Wars games (especially from KOTOR series), Disney’s Aladdin, Back to the Future: The Game to name a few. The games that turn out to be shitty are those which are made as a tie-in to the upcoming movie.

Enter the Matrix at #2, really? I’ll never understand why people hate this game so much. It’s far from great, but nowhere near as bad as any of the other games on the list.

I really pity Howard Scott Warshaw. I can’t even begin to imagine what he had to endure while programming E.T. That was propably the worst 6 weeks of his entire life.

Toys is one of the few Robin Williams movies I can actually tolerate. Game looks repetitive as shit though.

Poor Macaulay Culkin; is there nothing your father wouldn’t put you in for a dollar?

Meatloaf: The double D you can’t unsee.

There’s an even worse Waynes World game than that, with graphics that make Bubsy 3D look good.

I can understand making a game out of Duckman, but not Howard the Duck. ET? Nah, enemies look more like Gargamel. “Overlooked hemorrhoid on the bum of gaming,” like that one.

I once had a video tape recording of Charlie’s Angels gameplay when I had insomnia; watching them climb up & down the ladder knocks you into a boredom induced coma.

That ET sprite looks like Phong from ReBoot. They buried Pacman cartridges too, & it was just as damaging, not that it could have been added due to it not being a movie licensed game.

You guys obviously never played the Hudson Hawk NES game. I still can believe there is a game based on one of the shittiest movie of the early 90s. There is also a certain game involving Halley Berry as a certain feline heroine. I don’t want to mention it becuase I’ve heard rumors of spatial rifts opening and giant tentacles dragging you to R’lyeh if you do…

Actually I kind of admire the ET game, or rather the guy who made it. Yeah the game is shit and less fun than doing your taxes, but it was one dude who barely had any time to work on it. I bet if your boss said he needs that important project done tomorrow instead of next week it would be shitty too. And honestly I’ve played plenty of far worse games that cost more money and had longer development cycles than ET.

Wow you had Enter the Matrix at number 2!? My friends and I used to play that game all the time, I remember enjoying it a lot. Maybe it was hyped up more than it should, but the combat mechanics and the animations were really cool, plus it was a real challenge on the harder difficulty settings. Made you feel like a badass. I don’t remember the driving sections though, maybe they were so bad that my mind deleted them :P
