Why excluding Colors and Generations? Those were the two games where he did his very least. Well, at least in Colors he created the translator and figured out what needed to be done (similar to what he did in Unleashed) but he literally did nothing in Generations.

Indeed Maya Fey is one of the best. I love when she just complains on and on how she’s hungry and just has a cooky attitude. Also gotta love her form when Mia takes over .

Honestly, I don’t really know. She’d probably be very recognizable as Alyx because most of her detail is in the face. She’d just … have no hair and it would be distracting for a bit.

Definitely. Alyx did a lot to enhance the feel and impact of the games, that’s why I’d put her at the top.

Quick question, though… how do you think she’d look if she was bald?

Thanks pharmmajor. Alyx is a good choice for #1 because she made those games feel that much more personal. I really had a connection to the whole Half-Life world through Alyx.

Excellent list. I agree with all your picks, though I would’ve rearranged the order a bit. Alyx Vance, for me, would be at #1. And Max would be second… i love that little lagomorphic psycho.

I’m pretty sure partner still works in this context, though I definitely see where you’re coming from. I suppose “Partner Characters” would have been a slightly more accurate title, as that talks singularly.

Most of the time, I’m the same way, which is why I like Issun so much. Kazooie is a bit of an exception for me though. I think a fair amount of the like I have for her is massive nostalgia factor coupled with an appreciation for her being more useful than most partners I can think of.

That’s just how it is for me though.
