A new trailer for Lego Batman 2: DC Super Heroes has been released, showing off many things about the next Lego game. Many heroes and villains from across DC are making an appearance, such as Wonder Woman, The Flash, and Bane just to name a few, and the open world talked about before looks pretty interesting.
But of course, what stands out to me the most is the fact that there will be fully voiced dialog in the game. Even if it’s been shown before, that’s still going to take getting used to, although I have to admit that the tiny exchange between Superman and Batman in the trailer made me chuckle. Check it out below.

Batman: DC Superheroes.
Well, cause Batman is the only one relevant right now.
You know, with everyone so surprised about voice-overs (awesome!), I’m even MORE surprised that nobody is acknowledging that this is gonna be a SANDBOX LEGO BATMAN GAME!!! AWWW YEAH!!!!
The 1st time in next-gen history (Maybe not, but whatever) one of the game’s main highlights is actual voice-overs instead of the usual Lego-ian our favorite virtual block people cosplayers are known to speak. Besides, Lego games have always been fun to play so I have no doubts this one won’t be any different. In face, I predict it’ll possible be the best one yet.
With the addition of voices they’ll be able to have more complex missions. Without the talking they had to try and show you what you’re supposed to do so they were limited. Having no talking really only works with the Lego Games based off of movies anyways because if you’re a fan of the movies you’ll generally know what’s going on and it’s funny to see how they do the scenes without speech.
Oh no, I completely agree. They’ll definitely be able to do more and it’ll probably be able to keep the humor intact as well.
It was just a matter of it being rather different. I was rather surprised when I first heard it was voiced after all the previous games, and it’s still a tad odd to hear, even if I think it’s a change for the better.
Actually, voice acting opens up the space for even more humor. The little “You think?” quip from Superman actually got a chuckle out of me.
