You've activated my trap card! Wait….

The newest update to the popular Magic: The Gathering video game is getting ready to release, and we’ve got a trailer and some gameplay improvement news for you. I’d make a joke about playing a video version of a card game, but I spent half my childhood playing the Pokemon card game adaptation for Gameboy, so I don’t have any room to judge.

According to the Wizards of the Coast press release, 2013 will add “the dragon Planeswalker Nicol Bolas, 10 Fresh Decks, Multiplayer Game Mode ‘Planechase,’ Fresh Puzzle Challenges, Optional Manual Mana Tapping, and Integration between the digital and paper product offering.” The latter is probably the most interesting, as fans of the actual card game will be able to see cards in the game before they release in real life.

Duels of the Planeswalkers 2013 will be available on iPad, Xbox LIVE Arcade, Steam and PlayStation Network “this Summer.”
